Starkey Outdoors

Starkey Outdoors channel captures my life as a fishing hunting guide in NE Oklahoma. Follow me along on my guided and personal trips. We will catch crappie utilizing livescope, blue cats, stripers and other species on the many reservoirs Oklahoma has to offer. Snagging for spoonbill is my specialty as well and you will see plenty of that. Some of my videos will be informative but all of them will be entertaining. I'm also an Alaskan Big Game Guide and might share some of my Alaskan big game hunts adventures from time to time. Feel free to comment or ask questions. Please like and subscribe to my channel. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. To book a guided trip with me please visit my website. www.starkeyoutdoors.com

    Sub’d to help out a fellow Okie. If you enjoy fishing for blues around barges, head over to St Louis and try it on the Mississippi River. Some triple digit fish in there!

    When the bargest go through , the cats bite,, i can attest to that for a fact. Fishe the intracoastal canal in Louisiana many years , we just used shrimp never used shad or perch

    If you want to catch bigger fish, use bigger bait.

  • @StarkeyOutdoors
    @StarkeyOutdoorsАй бұрын

    You’re just eliminating the smaller bite with a bigger bait. Big fish hit small bait just as well. Ive caught two 60lb catfish on small bait. If i was tournimate fishing and didn’t want to catch little ones because of time management I would use a bigger bait. However thats just my opinion and you could be right. It’s always exciting to get a hit on a big bait. Thanks for watching.

    You have to have a usda approved taxidermist and all his info to give to usda in dallas. I would have 3 hrs in dallas between flights. Then you have 10 days to get the ducks to him to be inspected. No whistlers are allowed in.

    Yeah its pretty gnarly. Its nit really that uncommon tho. I remember seeing this when i was a kid with a buck my Dad my took down. And i got one about 6 years ago that had this exact thing going on too. It was absolutely PACKED with corn. It was about that size, and i sliced it open, and corn just came spilling out. There was so much of it. Im not sure what causes it to happen, but it sure is pretty crazy. Real nice buck tho yoir son got! Very well done!

    For one, the "blue wing" is definitely a greenwing. Second, your filming sucks and you can barely see any shots. Third, if you're gonna show the birds at least make sure they're dead first.

    I did a lot of fishing in San Francisco Bay for Stripers and Halibut and you would always catch fish after a tug boat cruised by. Something about the props churning up food off the bottom gets the fish crazy and into eating. Maybe the same thing happens with barges.

    We don't have that many in Table Rock. I have caught almost my limit this year. Planning on getting live scope. I use a gaff. But I only do it to the ones I keep. Old shovel handle and sharpened screw in hook.

  • @StarkeyOutdoors
    @StarkeyOutdoors2 ай бұрын

    Cant use gaffs in Okla anymore. Our limit is 2 per year to keep. It was 3 per day when I was a kid. There is still millions of them though. I livescope them when they are shallower.
