Fishing with the new Falcon Rods Forward Sonar Rod. Livescoping Oklahoma Slab Crappie in December. A quick overview of the rods and techniques I use to swing in the slab crappie. Fishing today with Ruben Flores Jigs and applying Bait-Pop on them.

They kept breaking. Servos, foot control, wire came loose inside. I just lost confidence in them. They were more ratchety and spun around alot on spotlock. The minkots so far has held tighter, better control and foot pedal feel and has been bullet proof. The garmin would come off spotlock more and when you have lines out in current thats a problem. However,, The garmin was 1mph faster. Had way better batt life and didnt show up on my livescope when I pointed it at it running. I might go back if this minkota breaks IDK. The lowrance problem is you cant tell which way the shafts facing unless your looking down on it. I run mine from the console alot or troll with it down. I have to know its direction.
How do you like this rod compared to other 13’ rods. Is the balance and weight decent?

Since I designed it myself Id say I love it. It has a great backbone and is the same weight as others. If you start shaving the weight too much you loose integrity.
