As it turns out, travelling with a camera in my hands is the most useful thing I have done to keep my mind and body healthy and clear. But if I can't do it, I then head to KZread looking for similar content… and I thought, why not creating my own? And so, here we are.

    Wonderful shots, try to include push and pull horizontal motion of your camera with your arms with shutter lag, also great results. Also try to keep the shutter open longer and paint with your lens, works well in snow white washed backgrounds with someone or people walking dressed in black with an accent color jacket. It is an art but once you master movement with pulling and pushing techniques as well as painting and halting the frame at the end or the beginning of the shots after the initial or end painting movements creates more painted portraits. Again enjoying your videos, keep shooting!

    I always liked Sigma 17-50 on Nikon, but then changed to Fuji and since the first day I hated this, for unknown reasons to me, religiously adored XF 18-55. This one is nice, but still a lot of distortion corrected digitally, vignette is cool, also no stabilization which is a problem with my X-T3. Also being snob and wanting the aperture ring while knowing that it would be perfectly fine without it.

  • @Salt9696
    @Salt96962 ай бұрын

    If you have a fixed aperture of f2.8, and you film slog3 so you're stuck on your native ISO, then you have a fixed shutter speed, how in the world do you control the amount of light hitting the lens? Does the job end up falling on a variable ND Filter?

  • @BeaveBallin7
    @BeaveBallin717 күн бұрын

    Yeah. My ND filter is usually the only thing I’m adjusting on the fly as a run&gun video shooter, everything else remains as is

    Yes, we Fuji folks are a community. Last summer when I was in Amsterdam, a man asked me about my Xpro2. He had one as well. Turns out we live in the same small town in New Jersey. By the way, my connection to my Xpro2 is as strong as yours to the XT3.

    I can’t notice any rolling shutter, did you use non-HQ 4K strategically to avoid artifacts? Also do you have any concerns with using non-HQ 4K for motion scenes?

  • @carlosdomi
    @carlosdomi4 ай бұрын

    If I am filming just for myself, for social media and KZread, 4K HQ or any of the 6k and 8k settings are just an overkill that might also come with rolling shutter issues. So, unless I shoot for work, I stick to standard 4k (can't remember right now what my settings are).

    Hello, your review is very enlightening. As an amateur, I would like to consult you on a subject that I am quite ignorant about: I am mainly interested in macro and wildlife (flying birds, animals) photography. Is the rolling shutter problem a valid situation in photography? Although I don't use video very often, I was a little uneasy. My second option is the X-T5. Does this model also have a rolling shutter problem?

    Thanks man, I like it a lot! I don't know what it is but the ambient sound of Japan is so calming and authentic. How was your experience filming with the XH1? It has no IBIS right? Did you record the audio with the in camera mic?

  • @carlosdomi
    @carlosdomi4 ай бұрын

    This was with the XH2, already with a pretty good IBIS, it's good if you stay still, but for panning and slow movements Fuji isn't just as advanced as Canon, for example. And yes, it's all recorded with the in-camera mic (much better than expected!), you can hear it when it gets windy!
