Simracing Enthusiast Reviews
I do simracing stuff reviews.
I've been simracing for more than 5 years. My main sim is iRacing but I have a tendency to visit ACC from time to time. This channel is an commitment to train english language.

So are they better than the 2000s or not? You didn't really say
Have you tried vrs directforce pro?
No I havent had a chance. Though Im looking forward to it.
Slew rate is actually the rate of change of acceleration over time. It take some amount of time for the acceleration rate to ramp up and how quickly it does so is defined by the slew rate. A higher slew rate means a small time lag in reaching the target acceleration (i.e. force/torque) target. In physics, the rate of change of acceleration is referred to as "jerk" (i'm not kidding, you can look it up). So something that can change the rate of acceleration faster is jerkier. Drivers who slam on the brakes instead of progressively increase the brake pressure cause a much jerkier ride because they're causing the rate of deceleration to go from zero to some maximum in the shortest amount of time possible. The same with the throttle. You will feel like you are accelerating faster when the driver slams on the throttle rather than gradually builds up to maximum. In both cases, the maximum acceleration rate will be the same (i.e. when the accelerator is fully pressed) but the acceleration rate will feel as if it was faster in the case of the driver immediately flooring the accelerator. What you've felt instead of a higher degree of jerk. This is what the higher slew rate is giving you. A higher jerkiness in the changes of force output. This means the force feedback becomes more abrupt in the small fine details of the ffb which will extenuate the details to you without having to use a higher torque range output.
my dd1 has grounding issues causing my nice wheels to lose connection. I just ordered this one. I was between this and the sc2 pro. I chose this for price to performance out of the 3 (simucube, asetek, simagic)
Did you use 39% Mechanical Damper setting?
Can someone help me?I am chossing between XP1 sim lab pedals and p1000 pedals which is better ?
After 3 days my wheel handles are making weird cracking noise… other than that it is perfect
how come simmagic sends v1 base to reviewers while selling v3 base that has weaker ffb? Since you get different product the review is worthless
hey mate, brilliant review. I got mine last week and loving it. Would you mind sharing what your settings would be now with the updated settings? i have mine at a nice spot but wondering if it could be better.
Yes this wheel is better then the forte and the fsr. Not even close to eachother. This wheel matched flagship wheels on the market over 1k dollars.
Best shifter paddles ive ever felt on any wheel. Amazing sound depth and just amazing feeling. This imo is the best f1 wheel ive ever used. Yall need to get over the china thing 99% of our products coem from there including motors and pieces on each product of build. We have very very high end stuff coming from china now in the US there machining, there wuality of materials are now mcuh higher then past. They jsut now still can produce things for less not for less quality its due to peoppe being paid less to manu them and getting things for less money the same thing we get from around the world. You will never feel simagic and go oh this is china from 20 years ago. You would never ever feel like it came from china in general with that cheap chinese mindset. The ultimate is my favorite wheelbase of all time ive tried them all. There ecosystem is my favorite also. Look at there pedals? Like what? Amazing! Wheels? What? Amazing! Yeah to good guys.
Hard to believe these are over 50 per cent bigger in terms of area, than my Logitech G29.... 😂🎉🎉🎉
After trying the newer v3 simagic bases there is no need for me to use the simucube now.
The reason ita so fast is they use 5 pole motorrs. Almost nobody uses 5 pole motors. Its imo the best motor on the market and simagic customized it for sim racing. Nothing imo beats there bases. Also simagic has been out for well over 5 years man def not new or young.
People get way to into hype with products but me I prefer the simagic over asetek. I always will tbh. Simagic feels imo the closest to simucube and is almost perfect out of the box because sinaguc sets it up by long term sim racers and real drivers. Its why you didnt need to adjust it much either. I just think simagic right now and even further after there recent update is just outstanding. I cant choose asetek over them just because they sre new. Marketing is easy to do for this company and they did good. Everyone seems to think its the best base ever made and I just dont get it.
What are you talking about?.. Do you had Simucube or Asetek to compare with Simagic?!... I have Simucube Pro 2, Asetek Invicta and having tried Simagic Ultimate, i have to say Simagic isn't at the same level of others bases.
@@MrJMHPAbsolutely bonkers even he will tell you it is. I have absolutely used simucube and asetek i go to every event I can. Simagic is underatted well lately they have been getting credit even being installed in drive schools now and so on. These new v3 simagic bases are amazing. Maybe you didnt realixe they have revised it 3 times with software and now on the v3 bases also. Very very incredibly snappy feel extrmeely butter smooth. No notches and built like a tank. Its also the only base ive used even off that doesnt have nothces now. Simagic is absolutely on this level now. It aint sinagic from 2 years Go watch beyond race matters hes an advocate for simucube he believes simagic is at that level so much so he mains simagic. He got one of the first revisions from the v2 going into the v3s. Keep in mind he loves simucube. He isnt the only one there are others. Will on the other hand from boosted has no clue how to do settings on it like his wheelspeed being so low. That's like turning slew rate down on other bases. You wsnt that uo it's snappy af and everything is so responsive. He limits the base and is the only person that has stated that somagic is lacking a little detail. That's why though also his bases are from over 3 years ago when they came out with the alpha.
@@reviewforthetube6485 As I mentioned, I have Simucube and Asetek and I speak from my daily experience and not because I tested it at any event. All bases have evolved with constant updates and currently only Simucube has iRacing's 360hz FFB mode. I recently tested Simagic Ultimate and my opinion is inferior compared to the other two. I don't need to know what reviewers say about the bases... I speak from my experience. I'm happy with that!
This base has blown my mind and imo is also the best looking base on the market haha. I love the piece on the shaft also idk what it is something about the look. Also the wheels omg simagic wheels are insane. Imo people downplay the simagic still and imo it actually feels slightly better now then simucube. It feels so fluid and just good. Also the best quick release in the game. The reason default feels so good now is because they use real drivers and sim users with inssne experience to set them up as default. Also real drivers do use simagic lol There is something special about simagic now there software has made this thing feel so much better over the years that it's mind blowing. 😊 Also just so people know yes many pro drivers use simagic now.
I have an issue in American Truck Sim where when I apply the brakes my brakes are fully applied with very little input. I tired to calibrate and it still does it. I have the brake intensity in game all the way down and adjusted it in curve nothing has worked.
I love the shape of this and the grips so so much in shape. Wish the material was a little different but I love it. Simagic quality wnd feel in the hand is as good as simucube regardless of ehat people think or say. They arent what they were 5 years ago.
Ok so you need to review the leoxz xgt pro now! It is the best bang for your buck with fanatec! It wokrs with fanatec bases out of the box. No wire needed or snything. It comes with active pins in the xgt pro it even works on ps5 with a ps5 capable fanstec base like the new dd+. Everything works its the modt incredible thing ive seen from a wheel you know why? The led swttings you can change from the wheel without a pc or wire. Just through the wheel while connected to the base. The rev lights work even the speedometer gauge works. The led are msybe the most vibrant ive seen. The grips are perfect, and they opened the thumb are more so itd not as crammed as the xf1. They also moved the paddles back sligjtly so not as close to the back! Its lefit perfect now, most controlled ive rger felt when racing. It remindd me of the cube controls f core but upgraded with all of the bells and whistles! Ive neever seen s brand or wheel cover and think about every sinlge area for a brand. Its better then sny wheel fanatec sells and somehow it works better then fanatec wheels do with there own bases. Even the ffb feels super consistent as if the chips are even better? All i know is its perfect size at 295mm but its more like an f1 wheel in the height. But its an sll billet aluminum back with a 5mm real cf front plate. Also the reason the grips felt to small on the xf1 is due to the location of the paddles. Thats why you wont have the same effect and its just s much better experience.
do you know on what wheel bases this thing works on ps5
P1000s are great and p2000s.
how would you compare these to the p1000-rs? im comtemplating between the two for simagic alpha
i really like your style of videos. you have a really good presence on camera and really good at explaining your opinion. i look forward to more of your content. I am trying to figure out what setup would be best for me and i think you made some convincing points to get a single ultra wide. thank you. keep up the good work :)
Thank You very much for that. Nice to hear that. Heartwarming :) i hope Youll have great time and races in your rig
Amazing wheel bases…. I won an Alpha with gt Neo. Tried simucube and fanatec and this was my favourite. I have a review on my channel
Its so good for the price. Nothing can match the quality of this wheel for the price tbh.
Upgrading from r5 with fsr and crp. I need better/stronger/more accurate FFB to go with it all. Im torn between r16 and r21
Consider also Alpha or Alpha U. Id pick them over Moza… but I feel that I prefer Moza rims :)
Amazing, can't wait for mine to come
I just bought one. It is sitting in the box, waiting for a Sim Lab Simagic DD adapter to arrive.
Hello do you know if the 2 encoder switches in the center of the wheel are removable? If I wanted to put a different wheel on it
Unfortunately I have no idea.
Hi, can you do a comparison with alpha U, with the new software?
Would love to but I had this base only for a review :)
Hey Jake, thanks for the lovely review of our Sprints and support 🙂 One thing I noticed, your brake stack (as shown here) is incorrect. One of the spacers is right behind the longest elastomer and it shouldn't be! Always make sure both ends of all elastomers are covered by the larger (38mm) rings. The 30mm spacers can't touch the elastomers as they can damage them. Just take it out and inserts it at the top of the stack. 👍🏻
Thank You for that :)
Is it worth to take p1000 without hydraulic brake ? Is it must have thing ? Which feel better when braking with or without hydraulic brake?
Only pedal plates are from aluminium, everything else is from steel.
Yup. I learned it after that. Sorry for confusion.
It's all steel, lads! There is no aluminium in the Sprints.
Hi SER, thanks for the review. So, despite the fact that the Slew Rate is a very determining factor in the quality of the feeling, and that the Invicta base has a better SR, you still prefer the Base SC2 Pro overall?
Sure. Longer on market. Software is georgous and still developing. Reliable.
The QR is the worst! You can’t install any real wheels like you can do on the Simucube. That’s why I went with Simucube.
You can buy their adapter which has the USB built in the adapter itself. This means there is no USB cable to dangle and to plug into your PC :D
So...... you get either a CLUNK for the Throttle on these P1000's or a CLUNK for the Clutch in the P2000's??? Which one is the lesser of two evils? i.e. which would you say is better?
P2000 is one I took. Although I already koved to HV Ultimates+
I'm looking at buying a full Simagic eco-system as my first setup for my PS5..... thanks for the review :) Cheers Don, Perth W.Australia (Dons Shed and Xplor Overland)
Please, please please upgrade to a PC before you go full on with the gear
@@elsalvador5129 one day, I MIGHT get a Gaming PC, but that is not planned for anytime soon and you know what?.... I'm ok with that!!!
I pre-ordered one before they were available. I love it and use it now almost exclusively. Simagic makes high quality products and I have many of them. I have the Alpha base and the P2000 pedals with haptic feedback. Great company and products for reasonable prices.
Could you do a direct comparison with the simagic alpha U, with the new software?
Is this or simucube active pedels better
Its a totally different technology. If id have them at same proce point id take simucubes, but right now price for being active is too high for me.
@@simracingenthusiastreviews thank you for the insight
Thank you for concise video. It shows you appreciate the viewer's time.
You covered the hardware. Can you comment on Asetek's ecosystem? Good software? Compatible with 3rd party wheels? I dont like their wheels.
All i know is that qr is expensive and all 3rd party wheels have their software so there shouldnt be no compatibility issues. Software is kinda ok. Nothing special to be honest. But I come from simucube, which still for me holds the title.
Great videos man! I have one question. Which wheel do you think is better? Simagic FX-PRO or Moza FSR?
Id take simagic.
Hi ! Clear and concise video, thanks for the effort. I want to upgrade (Fan DD1). I'm very hesitant between the Asetek Invicta base and the SC2 Pro base. If you had to upgrade yourself, where would you go?
Id go for Simucube. Its most reliable one and the online profile directory is so big!
Asetek bought something having to do with sinucube d.d. schematics. As an asetek owner, I'm very grateful to Simucube.
Simagic is one of the best premium brands. ✌🏻🇺🇸
Cube control wheels are garbage for the price they cost!
As soon as you said “made in China” I made my decision to go with Simucube. Thanks for the review.
the moment he said its not a pratical qr and old wifi antennas i switched to the alpha u
You using adaptor USB?
Would you pick these over the SRP SimRacing-Pro pedals you reviewed? Thank you
Yes I would :)
Waiting for my wheelbase to arrive. Can’t wait! I’ve only heard good things about Asetek.
Happy for You! They started with high C. Looking forward to their new releases.
