Showtime112

Showtime112

This channel is about the history of military aviation. If you were a fan of History Channel's Dogfights, you will enjoy this content. We similarly use computer graphics to reenact clashes between various military aircraft, but we cover a much wider range of stories, including many 'forgotten' conflicts involving Third World nations. To achieve this, we use state of the art flight simulations such as DCS World, IL-2 Great Battles and War Thunder.

Those Argentinian and British pilots had balls of STEEL. No doubts about it. Brave men!

On board the L/C, sat in the Landrover, was an AAC soldier whom I served with, his memory was of him talking with a RM crew member, then finding himself bobbing in the water, blinded and confused. He was rescued and made a full physical recovery. For years after, he would find tiny slivers of aluminium in his tears.

Honorable Pat Pattle came to my attention back in 2019 when randomly researching South African WWII involvement: his story disturbed me that he wasn't properly recognized or mentioned anywhere. Really glad to see more content online about this and really enjoyed the narrative on these war journals! RIP Hero

As eye popping as the jets were, the Luftwaffe should have put the Ta-152 and Do-335 on the front burner. In the night skies, the He-219 should have gotten more priority. The quagmire that was the OKL made it fight against itself as much as the enemies in the air.

Very accurate explained also Iran has made movie of this mission ( attack on H3 ) But story of single f4 which landed in palmira Syria , it’s more horrific than H3 cuz it took 2 months to fix the airplane and mean while Iran sent 2 professional pilot to syria to bring it back !! Unfortunately Syria intelligent advised to iraqs intelligent about the flight pattern and time of flight . More than 20 Iraqis migs were patrolling over the turkey ; syria and Iraq borders to intercept f4 !! But Iranian pilots were so smart and instead of taking that pattern, they decided to fly across the the country of Iraq at a altitude of 50 feet from the ground with supersonic speed and reach Iran and they succeeded.

CODSWALLOP Argentinians in PANIC shot their own aircraft and missed the RAF and RN aircraft so what is abnormal about that. The Argentinian Marines that conducted the Illegal Invasion had already RAN AWAY, like COWARDS. So Conscripts with little training were thrown in because the Argentinian Marines knew they would be HUMILIATED again Cowards. The Argentinian Navy RAN AWAY = Cowards. DAFT that the ONLY member of the Dictatorship that OBJECTED to the Invasion was the head of the Air Force, which was the ONLY branch of their military that actually fought!

  • @showtime112

They had the logistics but they didn't really have many assets to spare, even using a bunch of civilian vessels and sending them in the middle of a war zone. But it worked in the end.

The A-4 was an outstanding ground/sea attack aircraft. Small, relatively cheap to manufacture, and could carry an excellent weapons load for it's size. A "modernized" platform could very well find a niche and perform quite well today.
