I've been using a 6nn and 7nn for years as my base color. I've done highlights - triied some bleach but now Iz'm going gray. I had grown out a lot of gray - tempted to "go gray" I left the bangs and side pieces to the side and used a 10nn and it looks great! Now my gray is coming back. Could I put the Ash blonde on the whole head? I know I cant lighten my brown but wiil it brighten it? Then tap brown on regrowth .. i am at an awkward state

You are a goddess! Thank you for such a thorough explanation! I was going to attempt this at home, but after all these details… I’m going to see a professional and try touching up new gray hairs later. 💇🏻‍♀️❤️💇🏻‍♀️

Kristy. I love your informative detailed videos. I have been coloring my roots for 16 years and when needed apply a few highlights. My roots are completely gray now. I have always used 20V with my color. So, if I understood correctly, in my case I should be using 30V? I've never done that as I thought it would damage the hair and cause it to be brassy. Although, I do notice the color fades quickly on the growth I have touch up. I know this is an older video, but if you see this could you please let me know if I should be using 30V on the root growth. Thanks so much!

Can you show us how to do this on a side part? Many of us can’t wear a middle part for various reasons and we can’t find anyone doing a side part. When I cut on the middle it’s gets really heavy with layers on one side with no layers on the other. I this this video would be a hit because there is not one out there. Thanks!!

Loved your video! If I have a client that is 70% grey, should I use 70% of the natural and then 30% of the fashion if I want to mix. My client likes cool so I was going to mix 6-0 with 7-12. thanks

Did you say you were going to be coming back to make videos?? I’m in such a jam, and have a job interview next week. I’ve only got shades Eq color gloss, around 20% gray to blend and if it were only doing roots, I could figure that out. Yet it’s the ends I don’t know what to do with.

OK good information but obviously she’s not a professional because there’s no such thing as 20% developer it’s 20 volume which is 6%. Be very careful don’t ever look for a 20%. It will burn your hair off.

I just found your channel and I appreciate your videos. I got a haircut two months ago and it looks like a mullet rather than long layers so it was quite depressing, but I’m letting it grow out and figure. I better learn to cut my hair myself at home. Thank you!

I habe a question, I only have like 10% grey but sadly in the front and crown, I am a 5 level naturally, if I do t want to habe a line of demarcation on my re growth, can I use a Demi 6.N/ 7G (half half) mixed with 10%, do you think this will cover a bit the grey so that it looks like a highlight or it won’t cover at all?

I’m late to this video but love it! I was looking for a very mild version of curtain bangs, I just made the smaller triangle and kept the overall length longer. Also I like your explanation of keeping it disconnected. While that was the look I was going for, it looked a bit too much like a stair step, so I tried to blend it the way you showed blending into fringe layers. My technique is not perfect by a long shot but overall it’s the look I was going for! I have never even been able to explain it to a stylist, so it was great that you explained it well enough to do myself! I also point cut into my curtain bangs since it looked more blunt on my thick hair than I wanted. Thanks so much, can’t wait to check out the rest of your videos! ❤❤❤

I just found you. I hear that jersey?…tawk. You sound like home to me! Kristy, you are an excellent teacher. I’ve been walking out of salons unhappy for my entire life. I have never had that “Magic” feeling leaving a salon, so have resorted to home interventions many times with mostly good results. However i never “got” the freaking ear space!!!! Gahhhhh duuuhhh what an easy but obscure piece of advice! I never understood why i was having such a hard time blending my y front layers with the back!!! Your doing Gods work for us home hair cooks. A million thanks!

Since I am doing at home color (I’m not a hair professional), I’m level 4 brunette naturally and want to keep that color (no lighter, and it’s ok if it darkens a bit), the back of my head hardly has gray at all, but I’ve got a fair amount in front, some gray patches, normal to fine texture. Please recommend product and developing time for my roots! Tysm

Every single tutorial I have watched shows it curled. I need to know what it looks like for real, any style looks good curled 🙃.
