I’ve always had the passion for muscle cars growing up and now that’s the life I live being racing, building or restoring old Mopars. Along with some fun car culture in the mix. follow me on #junkerup on instagram and you can email me [email protected]

I work for and have been around all kinds of celebrity people but the thrill of my life was actually meeting Chris Birdsong in my hometown of Barstow him and his buddy we're parked sitting in the general they had a trailer with a race car on it, realizing he's a busy guy I pulled up and said hi I enjoy your videos keep them coming, he gave me that Chris bird song smile. I'm telling you that is too cool for school.
That's what I'm saying and I've been bugging you about is the only way I'll be able to drive a 68 like charger is to find a b-body floor pan and chassis like a Dodge St Regis or Cordoba, and weld one of those rust bucket chargerbodies like you have laying around on to it, I wouldn't be doing it to trick someone or selling it for huge money I would just do it for my own reasons most people wouldn't know ,you would probably notice in 10 seconds that it wasn't a real charger chargers didn't come with a Corinthian leather interior, lol
That has the same front end as a charger 500,
I need the big drum brakes. I'm thinking maybe a C Body car might work for my 68 sport satellite 383 4spd sure grip car.
My car pops through the exhaust really bad with the vacuum advance hooked up mine makes about 11” vacuum
🍀Cool 👀✌️
Don’t forget to white steering wheel so it doesn’t get too hot to touch Reminds me of the original home in 60 seconds movie from 1974!👍👍👍
Super fun stuff right there. On the flip side.....I always thought it was funny when dudes were bragging about pulling 40lbs off of their cars in the pits while holding a beer and a chilli dog with a gut.
That's totally awesome. And shame on the buyer.
My 69 road runner would get 19 mpg with 354s a727 and 440 .
Engine and motor are synonymous. Ford Motor company, General Motors, Harley Davidson Motorcycles ect????
335 horsepower 🤣
I've known this drive train very well for decades, as others have said it is the most reliable of that era even later. You should sell it to some one who can appreciate it.
Hey Chris thank you for the video
My dad bought a 77 Plymouth Fury Cop Car. He was high bidder on it. It had a 440 engine, it had the certified 150 mph speedo. It had power steering with a power steering cooler, and a 100 amp alternator. The back doors would not open up from inside. It had a crappy Thermoquad carb on it. The floats were problematic. Sometimes when you went around a sharp turn it would shut off due to the fuel bowl on that side running out of fuel. I put a Edelbrock 750 carb on it and it ran much better. My brother was taking an autobody shop class at school and they painted the car light blue. 7 mpg in that boat.
At that time 440’s only made 220hp and in a heavier car. They were slugs
Dual exhaust ??
Looks like positrac rear end? Don't destroy it, it runs too nice1
It sure is intact and unmolested, I think it was a fair price. Chris I am 61 and back in the day we were chased down by police in Sattelites from 68 all the way to 74, they had Sattelites in our area, and the lights were in the grille, we called them under cover cops, brings back some memories.
Good for you" i hope the idiot who posted that charger see's this " and maybe " just maybe" realizes what an idiot he looks like! But probably not" cuz if he's dumb enough to ask that amount for .....that....he will be dumb enough to think he should be mad at you for calling him out on it" 👍
I have had to access my fleet too and get rid of some cars for the better good.
Watched as a 68 cruiser’s drive train disintegrate while chasing a corvette. There was a lot of noise, smoke and then parts on the road. That cop had a history of really bad luck. Somehow lost his revolver while chasing a criminal. A couple of years after that he accidentally shot himself in the foot. Everybody in town called him “four toes”. Surprisingly he survived long enough to retire.
Great potential on that car. Glad you were able to sell it for your money 💰.
Second car I ever owned was a 69 Coronet 4 door, great car. Mine however was just a 318, but being in high school auto mechanics, i added a few upgrades to give it a bit more power. Had a lot of fun in that old beast.
Such a cool piece of history. I really hope it will get restoration that it needs. A muscle car with all the doors 😎
Reno PD has a 68 coronet fully restored for parades. Super clean car. Too bad I can't post a pic of it here.
But did you TRY to even see if it had movement?? I've seen much older engines end up turning and running after sitting for much longer.
Yes we did, that was one of the deciding factors
When I was arrested back in 1969, I rode in the backseat of a '68 Plymouth Belvedere...is that close enough?
My uncle was a state trooper for Louisiana, and a roadrunner passed him doing 113 mph My uncle turned around and caught up with him, it was a 73 ford galaxie 500 with a 429
Don’t forget the 360* steering wheel horn ring. Certified speedo!larger brakes, heavy shocks, A/C cutout switch , big radiator etc. and in rare cases a persuit auxillery fuel pump system, heavy duty charging system.
Back in the day we made taxi cabs out of old cop cars! Mostly here in NY trouper cars.
Same in Australian valiants k.coode was police code
Paint it up as a One Adam-12
My friend High School had a 67 GTX his father worked at a Chrysler dealership 440
Someone who appreciates the rarity of that car got a bargain. I really hope they don’t just pull off the police spec parts and junk the rest, it deserves to be restored and left intact as a part of history.
Back in the day when most of the Police mechanics side hustle was building race cars on the weekends and the parts they were designing/building didn't hit the aftermarket 5 minutes after they were introduced to the police market......
🦅🇺🇸💪😎👍
That is a time capsule being as it’s mostly intact and still part of the Motorola. Speed enforcement back then was also done with stop watches.
Derek is a man of few words but you can tell hes probably the nicest guy in the world
How do you NOT love a Cool Old 60's Police Ride..
It's got a cop motor, cop tyres, cop suspension, cop shocks... cars got good pick up.
Like what you do, keep it up. Excellent job on Mayhem, consider convincing Finnigan to foot the bill for giving Death Metal the "Super Bee-ter" treatment. Seems the perfect canidate
I have a 68 Coronet 500 without the ugly grille. Hey I've seen those 68 Coronets on "Ironside"....Eve ooooo best looking police woman ever!
That cop car is Texas Chainsaw Massacre correct! Please lose that racist flag off your General Lee. Slavery isn't cool.
Has anyone seen the cleetusmcfarland proline hemi engine. Holy mopar 5,000 hp is there goal. Wtf
120 MPH speedo?????????
The Gold Charger in the backgournd - My first car was a Gold with White vinyl top'69 Charger R/T 440 mag with Hurst shift manual posi rear - good times.
I got one of those. >>>>> kzread.info/dash/bejne/mGuZ19OJpqq_qKQ.html
Bad Mother Flower In It's Prime!!🤙
C body cop cars fear nothing....NOTHING!!
