I work for and have been around all kinds of celebrity people but the thrill of my life was actually meeting Chris Birdsong in my hometown of Barstow him and his buddy we're parked sitting in the general they had a trailer with a race car on it, realizing he's a busy guy I pulled up and said hi I enjoy your videos keep them coming, he gave me that Chris bird song smile. I'm telling you that is too cool for school.

That's what I'm saying and I've been bugging you about is the only way I'll be able to drive a 68 like charger is to find a b-body floor pan and chassis like a Dodge St Regis or Cordoba, and weld one of those rust bucket chargerbodies like you have laying around on to it, I wouldn't be doing it to trick someone or selling it for huge money I would just do it for my own reasons most people wouldn't know ,you would probably notice in 10 seconds that it wasn't a real charger chargers didn't come with a Corinthian leather interior, lol

I need the big drum brakes. I'm thinking maybe a C Body car might work for my 68 sport satellite 383 4spd sure grip car.

Super fun stuff right there. On the flip side.....I always thought it was funny when dudes were bragging about pulling 40lbs off of their cars in the pits while holding a beer and a chilli dog with a gut.

I've known this drive train very well for decades, as others have said it is the most reliable of that era even later. You should sell it to some one who can appreciate it.

My dad bought a 77 Plymouth Fury Cop Car. He was high bidder on it. It had a 440 engine, it had the certified 150 mph speedo. It had power steering with a power steering cooler, and a 100 amp alternator. The back doors would not open up from inside. It had a crappy Thermoquad carb on it. The floats were problematic. Sometimes when you went around a sharp turn it would shut off due to the fuel bowl on that side running out of fuel. I put a Edelbrock 750 carb on it and it ran much better. My brother was taking an autobody shop class at school and they painted the car light blue. 7 mpg in that boat.

At that time 440’s only made 220hp and in a heavier car. They were slugs

It sure is intact and unmolested, I think it was a fair price. Chris I am 61 and back in the day we were chased down by police in Sattelites from 68 all the way to 74, they had Sattelites in our area, and the lights were in the grille, we called them under cover cops, brings back some memories.

Good for you" i hope the idiot who posted that charger see's this " and maybe " just maybe" realizes what an idiot he looks like! But probably not" cuz if he's dumb enough to ask that amount for .....that....he will be dumb enough to think he should be mad at you for calling him out on it" 👍

Watched as a 68 cruiser’s drive train disintegrate while chasing a corvette. There was a lot of noise, smoke and then parts on the road. That cop had a history of really bad luck. Somehow lost his revolver while chasing a criminal. A couple of years after that he accidentally shot himself in the foot. Everybody in town called him “four toes”. Surprisingly he survived long enough to retire.

Second car I ever owned was a 69 Coronet 4 door, great car. Mine however was just a 318, but being in high school auto mechanics, i added a few upgrades to give it a bit more power. Had a lot of fun in that old beast.
