I have a brand new set of brake calipers and pads I didn’t need for my 76 Aspen, I’ll send em.

Someone explain to me why these cars like the aspens, cordobas, late 70’s novas are cool to me now? Even five years ago, I would’ve said they are worthless but now I dig them haha

It's because the older we get the smaller the budget is and these are what most can afford and still have V8 and 4 speed for under 3 grand

When I go to get a car registered I don't go to engine vehicles I go to motor vehicles. Happy Motoring.

This is what I've been telling you Chris that has all the same mechanicals, drive train and platform of an earlier model duster, dart,twister, demon, from 68 to77 and it's the same with all the B bodies, Chrysler use to ship new cars without exhaust gasket that's how cheap they were, they used the same floor pan stamps for years.

I don't think I've ever seen that kind of vinyl top on one of those, they usually have the big padded top with the small opera side windows. Speaking of 76 aspens, back in 86 after I graduated h.s, i worked at a restaurant where a hostess had a 76 aspen r/t her brother who bought it new and gave her for her 16th birthday. It was orange with the trunk spoiler, front air dam and it had side and rear window slats, it was powered by a slant six with 3 speed od on the floor and what blew my mind is that it came with 4 wheel drums, didn't think they still offered front drums by 76.

Great stuff man.. this is going to be a blast watching this build.. i think your gonna get some crazy shit sent to you for this.. Ruby red velvet headliner with the dingoball tassels ... Mullet shaped roof rack for 2 spare tires.. Gonna be a good time seeing what all gets sent in.. Keep enjoying life brother..👍👍

Loving the idea of a KZread community build, the only thing I have here in the uk that I can send is a couple my channel stickers. As a small channel, hopefully it’ll generate some more subscribers as well as helping fill an empty space on your Aspen windows. Great idea for a video series as well

One thing to check on those cars is the vent letting air back into the gas tank. It runs from the charcoal canister in the front to the gas tank, .The stock gas cap on mine was non vented. . Sadly I don't have any parts to send you. Good Luck with the build.

No, because I oil my doors and trunk and they are quiet..read the operators manual for them they tell you about maintenance

I got a 77 mercury monarch with a w motor and a 4 spd love it.

Cheapest car I have ever bought; back in 1991, I paid 60 bucks for a 💩 poop brown 1979 Dodge Aspen, leaning tower of power 😂, AM radio, and a brown plaid bench interior . Old guy lost his license, and he garage kept it, it even still had the "new car smell" in the interior. 119k on the clock, and it was very reliable: except for the rear brakes, they constantly broke, lol.

This will make someone a good old car for cheap !

I would give you a T-Bird and a 351W .030 and a C6. You could use the 8.8 Independent rear or a Dana 60 for it for that one.

Chris, we had a 76 Volare Sport it was a really good car till the fenders rusted out. The front suspension was a new design and I thought it handled well. 318 motor auto.

i have the side window louvers, but then you cant see the stickers!

I have a old motor home 440 hahaha

I like the dodges. You can do stuff with just about all of them. Take late model intrepid 99-04 ish lots of them came with 2.7s. Thus they have mint bodies n bad engines. 3.2 or 3.5 bolts right in. Viola you have a nice car to drive that gets 26mpg. I have yet to have much over 500 into one.

What type of fuel pump do you want to use? I have a new inline electric that is pre-set at around 5 psi and a manual pump. Also, spark plugs, I have E3 diamond fire plugs and Champion 3405 platinum. I have some orange hp ignition boxes also.

@@junkerupChris, Just dropped off a care package for the Aspen at the post office. It will have in it a used Orange ignition box, a NOS ballast resistor and voltage regulator. A set of new plugs, a used Carter mechanical fuel pump, plus some other trinkets. Let the spirit of “76” roll on!

I had a 1976 Aspen when I was 16. Slant 6 automatic. I liked that car but wanted more power.

I am tempted to rummage through my hoard cause I like those little mopars and wanna hear that little thing scream!

I have a really nice set of roller rockers I'll donate

@@junkerup I also have a set of LA castings that are complete. They came off of a 408 stroker. With big valves and springs. I'm not ever going to use them. I don't know how much it would cost me to send them though

Good ol F.body, Volare', Aspen, and I am at loss for the third! I can't believe that I can't remember and I am old.as.dirt.

I remember in 10th grade auto shop class 1988 a guy put one on the lift and the doors wouldnt close because it was flexing so bad from rust. It was a POS and it was only about 8 years old at the time. Cool idea to get donated parts and create some content.

A-body or B-body headers fit F-bodys just fine

I believe the B/E body headers work. We built a couple of those F bodies 40 years ago so I'm a little fuzzy on that but I know we didn't do anything too fancy on headers.

They do work for those better than the a-body ones.

What are you doing with that yellow 69 roadrunner? you could weld graft that right onto the back of a B body frame and lower body any year roadrunner doors and front clip will bolt on to the newer body

I'm quite sure I can produce a carb and air cleaner. I'll confirm in the am

It's like a crappy version of a Disco Nova. Man, Chrysler was not big on quality building materials for their cars. Can I make you a sticker that says 'ass-pen(i)s'? Where's that dang Bahamamama?
