Currently going for $31 for this version on Amazon and $33 for Automotive version which I just picked up. The Automotive version has a longer shaft made of stainless steel instead of alloy. Also is magnetic and uses standard 1" bits instead of the proprietary 2 sided bits on this version.

The new version of this knife (2024) does not have thel stainless backing and shank. It replaces it with cheap cast material and composite, which is brittle and can snap. The new one is unsafe.

It's not only really awesome that you got a handle with brown heartwood hickory. The handle is entirely heartwood. And you ordered that hammer and didn't search for it in the stores to find that kind of handle. Damn right it was a good day!

THANKS, the packaging on the HUSKY folding utility knife did not show you how to open and close it, so thanks. I probably won’t be carrying it around in my pocket unless I’m doing work specific work around the house, but it didn’t come with a little plastic blade cover, which I left on and folded it down .. it might get lost in the future but for now I’ll use it till I get used to this-blade. 👍

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, this folding cutter seems to be well built and what I like is that it seems to be repairable/serviceable if you have an issue, like a regular folding knife.

Great review, but I hate this product. They used to have a better model where they blade was retractable, which is far superior and safer in my opinion.

It's not for pushing up, I think it's more to self tighten when you put some load on it, that's why it clicks closed but not open, just ordered a pair so I don't know for sure but I'm very sure that's the function

The DeWalt grip is a bit thicker, which gives a slight bit more comfortable to hold. The balance on the Milwaukee is very good though.

I like the darker colored one. I ordered this with a smooth face. My other hammer is an estwing, the only hammer anyone will ever need, with the best balance and weight distribution. But I really liked the feel and swing of the Milwaukee hickory. It has an extremely large head for a claw hammer.

I've had a 20 brick hammer for the last 7 years with blue rubber handle and its started to move as they all do. So one night I ordered the 22oz big blue but accidently bought 2 and bite of them had flaws one had flaws on the finishing of the rubber handle and the other had flaws on pain finish. I'm pretty fussy when it comes to tools but all in all.its a great hammer
