I don't own a hot glue gun, so I bought some Heat & Bond Ultra and cut strips a tiny bit narrower than the folded width of the binding strips. Then carefully used my iron to set the glue onto the boards in a similar technique to how you've shown. I have boards all different sizes from about 20" to 6". The 6" ones are great for throwing into cross stitch project bags.

Lauren check your seam allowance a few more times. Make sure you get an absolute scant quarter inch. Also check your cutting. Seams can be stretched a little when sewing them together but too much will make a pucker. Don't use and fluids like best press or even steam at any time before all your pieces are together then do it all over again. It took me a long time to be consistent. Good job girl 👍💕

Don't delete your Google acct. If you try to get back in it will still be there. Go back to where you left off and try to figure out what you did wrong after you sleep on it. Patience is best. Good luck! You'll figure it out. Your Santa looks great 👍💕

So much to say... first we heard you just fine w/o the mic. 2nd- not a big strips fan either those are challenging lol. Love how the pillow turned out! Really loved it. The choices for your sew sampler are great. You did really well matching colors. And last, you never have to explain what's happening in your life. We are here to support you regardless. I forgot to tell you! Before you start the sew sampler quilt, head over to pickin stitches, she posted a video of the mistake she made cutting the strips for her stars. Definitely worth checking out before you start.

I want to do right by, not only my niece, but my sister who can’t be here to raise her, herself. ❤️ (She was the one who was a victim of DV and is in Heaven now and the ‘father’ is in prison serving a 70 year sentence for killing her)

Seeing you struggle with cutting those down to size, I'm glad that I found an alternative. I found the canvas boards at Walmart for $4.99 for 3 11x14 boards. I love using design boards now! I will eventually get some larger ones. On the 2nd batch, I used cotton batting; the pieces stick to the cotton so much better than to the poly.

I made some designs boards a few weeks ago. I went to $$ store and did not find foam board. Being determined, I looked for something else... I ended up picking up thin canvas boards made for painting. I also used some of my scraps of poly batting. I loved them so much that I had to make a few more. I did watch Lori Holt video, and another one.
