These are great! It’s tough to find rehabilitation and prevention exercises for ballet dancers that do not require the use of an apparatus. Please post more, I would definitely be watching! Thank you for these!
does this hurt
What graft was used for this patient?

the last 20 seconds are blocked by a playlist suggestion overlaying the screen. You can still guess the movement but the overlay is pretty annoying. But anyway, thanks for the video, never seen that 3rd one before
if the back and neck with head set on table completely flat, isn’t this exercise a lot harder? And also doesn’t this work the Abs primarily in order to move the ball towards you? Or my PT really sucks because it made my core work the hardest for this
You have no hip pain when doing those exercises. You can do it but people have hip problem are unable to do it. The exercises you show here are the ones to help strengthen mussels around hip to prevent hip problem but not for patients who have already got hip pain/ problem.
If I can do these exercises without pain, I have no problem in the hip. All the exercises you showing here are creating pain. Since I am feeling pain with those movements or exercises I decide to do hip replacement.
These are the exact 3 moves I'm having the most trouble getting to even do a single rep. Feels like doing 1RMs for powerlifting but on these moves from millisecond of sharp pain followed by intense painful strain in that it's a kind of pain I can move through it but I am not happy lol. I think it's just weak from dislocation back in December 2023 and it'll take a full year to rehab it to be able to unconsciously move like I used to again
👍👍👍💪💪💪😘😘😘🇷🇺🇷🇺🇷🇺
Awesome
Insane workouts. Great flexibility.
This is NOT a move that should be practiced before a year has passed since THR. This is a sure way to dislocate your hip unless you have it surrounded by strong muscle.
Congratulations Lauren!
Which degree do you have to call yourself a doctor?
It says it in the description. DPT- DOCTOR of physical therapy. Try reading before commenting next time
Update please, what type hip do you have an how long will it really last ? I hear 10 to 15 , but I was told 15 to 20 plus is more the avg. ???
Where are you located?
Horrible jerk form
this beach hot
Wow. What did you do? My Achilles has been getting progressively worse and i can't run or jump anymore.
wow bro this comment scares the hell out of me, I want to be able to play ball again or maybe have kids and wanna chase them around the yard or something smh
Good luck for the surgery 👊🏻
Smart and excellent moves. This technique was used on me to avoid carpel tunnel surgery in my 30s and 30 years later I am now requesting it for my heel pain originating from my tight hamstring and calf and short Achilles. Overcoming a major fall. The body can heal itself you just need to have people like this who know how to do it!!
Ever heard of music?
are these applied after the 8 weeks of having the splint?
I hope nobody tries to do this until they're cleared by their surgeon. There are restrictions on certain movements for the first few weeks, months after surgery. I would like to be able to do this eventually, but I wouldn't even attempt it until later on. I am at 6 weeks post surgery as of April 2024.
Is this applicable also for femur fracture?
There are 6 rotators. PGOGOQ
How is that boy doing ?
Thanks ima try this
It hurts more with these exercises. Most of such videos are suggesting these same exercises which increase the pain
Can you hit the vagus nerve through the neck with dry needling? is it dangerous?
I am 10 days in a hip replacement and I look forward to this level of flexibility. Before surgery I could not cross my legs because of the hip arthritis. Already I can see the importance of doing stretches early as the scarring is healing, but not over doing it. To stretches the help. 1. Legs together on your back and pull knee up to 90 degrees, good leg can go to 30 degrees, will get there. 2 from 90 degree position open up your hips when laying down. I can only do 80 degrees in time the doctor told me I should be about to do 120degrees. These moves will allow me to go what she is doing. You need to start during rehab. Do twice a day.
Thanks!
thank you!
Look at him go! Give this man a high five for me!
How many weeks do that 😢
Why the construction project in the background? 🤷🏻♀️🔨
Can you return to throwing after the third excercise?
Will this help with osteitis pubis?
Are you using the operative leg on the step?
That's what I was wondering?
Fellow DPT here. What company did you get your certifications from? Thank you
all these require 2 sets of 8 reps ?
Did it and it was painful... did he do something wrong?
But did it work? -- From this video you might need Togo to someone else for dry needling.
I am grateful for the people that have responded since I just had a replacement in December and my Dr told me to do this stretch just this week and I can barely get my ankle on the opposite leg, let alone stretch it (so I started to wonder if I either A: need to work TOWARDS being able to do this or B: something is wrong with my hip? Please, if you're going to advise people as a professional, you need to understand what they're going through first. This surgery was VERY painful and for the first few weeks, I couldn't even lift my leg. They cut my thigh open like a chicken cutlet. smh
If you've been cleared by your doctor to do this stretch, I would say there isn't anything wrong with your hip replacement. Because the doctor would have checked your x rays to make sure everything is in its place. You're just stiff, and scar tissue is making things tight and painful for you. I would just do what you can to start out with, even if it is just your ankle on the opposite leg. If you do it each day, along with your other PT exercises, I am pretty sure things will loosen up and and the scar tissue will break up, so you'll be able to increase your range to a bigger stretch. It may take time to get to the point as demonstrated in the video or you may not be able to get it exactly like that. You can only do your best. I doubt very much the person in the video has had a hip replacement herself. Every patient is different, and have different history. You may have improved already since you posted your comment. I hope you're doing well. I am at 6 weeks post surgery at the moment, so I'm not at this stage yet. It's hard and tiring, painful, doing all the PT, but I keep up with it. I really want to be able to ride a bicycle again so that's my goal. I'm not too sure if that's attainable but I will try.
@@HeatherLikesArt I appreciate your thoughtful response… at the time I wrote that it was only a few weeks postop. The doctor had just told me as I said… to start doing this exercise and I was perplexed because I could barely get my ankle on my knee. So I wasn’t sure if there was something wrong because I thought that he meant I should be doing it right when he told me too… and when I got home, I was not able to do it. I was just trying to say that the person saying this in the video should be explaining that this is something that you have to compound with daily efforts and not to expect to be able to do it but I suspect that’s also because she has absolutely no idea what it feels like to have this surgery. As you do… So now I am about 14 weeks past the surgery and I am able to fully do this stretch, but only because I used some modifications, I figured out myself. I did not give up. I’m not the kind of person that does and I am so glad I had the surgery but it was very hard as has been the physical therapy But worth it because I was in agony for almost 3 years I hope that you fare well I understand what you’re going through all too well, I just think that these people who make these videos should understand too
use it on the ussy
She literally just did hip flexion. No ratation😂
how many days after acl surgery lateral step down will do??
I'm one week after THR and just watching this clip almost gave a heart attack. I can't imagine doing it... ever.
How are you doing now? It has been 3 months since your comment. I hope you have improved and things are going well for you. I know what you mean by the video. I'm not at that stage... yet. it would be nice to be able to do this eventually, but we shall see. I'm at 6 weeks post surgery as of now. April 2024. It all has been very painful and tiring going through this. I also had both my knees done a few years ago, which doesn't help the situation.
How often should i do this?
At least once every day…
It's great, it works for me even after 5 years of hip replacement.
