NSX 2.0 was fugly. They should have ran with the HSC design. But we got a weird beak, low performance to value when the C8 came out, dated infotainment and it was a car that was too :safe:

It’s not the rotary engine that’s unreliable. It’s always been Mazda’s supporting components that kill the engines. Poor tuning, ignition coil failure, catalytic converter failures, coolant system failures, using dirty crank oil injection instead of premix to lubricate the seals, and lack of lubrication in the combustion chamber. They are simple issues that have been fixed in the aftermarket rotary community, but a lot of these things weren’t figured out until more recently since there’s been very little R&D for rotary engines. Considering Mazda’s the only manufacturer that has developed it, it is far behind the piston engine’s development.

Infiniti is a high selling brand. Is it getting lexus number no.... but they are on every damn corner you turn. If they would redesign the q50 like the nex Qx80 they would sell more. Q70 line was a bust they didn't step up the luxury more then the q50. Only heated and cooled seats, headed rear and soft closing doors. But outside of tranmission g35,g37,q50 3.7 were pretty good. Woukd get over 150k mile easy just hard to get real numbers when most people over mod the fuck out of them lol adding +200 hp and +100 tq yes the engine will go. Only thing infiniti has that lexus lost is real tuning and aftermart support. Infiniti has become a tuner car in the last 15 years

It looks like it’s trying to compete with Mazda cx50. Do you think the quality craftsman & design is putting pressure on Toyota? I like Mazda driving dynamics but would love some of the Toyota hybrid torque & mpg.

I agree with Kirk to go for a lower trim on this. Even the base S, if they were avaialble. Good point about not offering a 2WD hybrid, but I wouldn't want the solid rear axle. Only if they made a 2WD hybrid with the IRS. I hope there will be a new UX with more interior room. I would consider that.

I’ve owned a Tesla since 2019 and have naturally since then been paying more attention to them on the roads, and year after year I only see a substantially increased number of EVs in daily traffic, so I’m not sure where these “statistics” come from? Certainly not from California, but it would be kind of weird to exclude the most populous and leading state in the nation in gas-to-electric transition. Just sayin’ 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have the new RX350 luxury trim, which I like, and I have the very same problem of this Toyota with the AC. In sunny days with outdoor temperature of 80 to 85 the AC failes to cool the cabin. When it is 90 degrees or more, I must put the AC on near max airflow and it is still warm inside. I like the new RX, but it's engine and AC are huge disappointments.

many superchargers here in Michigan charge 50 cents per KWH. That means cost advantage for electricity over gas is mostly gone. Crazy.

The American autoworker is lazy and the UAW promotes this. I had a nephew worked at the GM/Toyota plant in Fremont, CA. The mindset of Westerners is vastly different and money is the incentive and changing that mindset can prove very difficult. It’s much worse now than back in the 90s since the UAW wants to push itself into Toyota plants in the US.

I am consistently getting over 60mpg in Bay Area traffic. I wish the gas tank can be slightly bigger, I can only get around 450 miles per tank. Other than the cheap interior materials and build quality. It is a perfect car for me.

Charging at home here is Cali with the price of gas over $5 is a no brainer argument for an EV. Costs to charge are about 15% the price of gas. Tesla superchargers are everywhere for any road trip you want. Insurance is about $100 more than my gasser.

I have a Corolla Cross Hybrid. Same trim and that color as that one. I've had it for 8 months just hit 5000 miles today and I like it. I came from a Corolla hatchback and I liked that I could haul stuff when needed but I didn't want to move up to the RAV 4. I don't disagree with anything you said. Certainly it's not perfect but it's comfortable. I can drive it for 2 weeks and fill it up for less the $30. I live in the snow belt and the AWD is surprisingly good when the road is slick. First time I was stopped at an intersection trying to turn a corner with snow on the ground and I hit the gas and the car just moved with no problem I was shocked how easy it that was. Yes it's pricey but I came into some money recently and paid cash for it and I'm gonna drive it for 10+ years and I'm not going to have to worry about it.

Enjoyed your video but have to make a comment. In our family we have had 21 xle sienna, a 21 venza, now a 24 corolla cross hybrid and 24 xle sienna. The 21 sienna rode loke a cloud. Regret i got rid of it. 21 venza rode lexus like for a long time but towards the tail end of 22 it started riding rough, really rough. Have taken back numerous times to toyota but they dont want to do something about it. 24 nightshade corolla cross rides decent and the 24 sienna rides terrible as well. The suspension on all these newer toyota cars seems to be really bad. Anyone else noticing how bad the ride quality is on newer toyotas?. I know what you mean about the car sick feeling you are talking about.

It's not unreasonable to think 360 combined hp from a na 2 rotor and electric motor. But it would have to be direct drive. Not a range extender. I don't think that'll be the final result. But I can hope. The renesis in final form made north of 240 hp. With modern fueling and a good integrated motor it wouldnt be hard to see mid 300s putts it
