Kirk, there’s a web tether loop in the crease of the seat right by where the seatbelt comes out on the door side of the back seat. Literally under your bum when you’re seated. The tether allows you to to adjust the rear seatback. Watch Alex on Autos for his demonstration of that feature on the 2025 Forester. Please share your knowledge with the other KZread reviews like Soyfan and the Kentucky brothers (Car Confections). Thanks for all you do!!

Subaru will be dead to me the moment they discontinue the WRX. I don’t care if the wilderness lineup is doing well for them, it’s just not the same company anymore… so boring… Subaru is lucky that the upcoming Forester hybrid will use Toyota’s hybrid tech. Will be a VERY good alternative to the often marked-up RAV4 hybrid considering the Toyota dealerships and their shenanigans. Mazda’s next on my list I I think.

This re-design makes it look very different from gen 5. It is much more mature, conservative, no nonsence. I own a 2011 Outback, & opted to buy the 2025 only because I think its time. The 2011 was certainly the best car ( owned Benz's, Hondas, Mazdas) , in terms of quality, fit & finish, fuss free, that I've ever owned. I hope the 2025 is just as good as my 2011 Subi

Subaru 360 (North American version) (1968-70) The first Subaru model sold in America, the 360 had an MSRP of $1,297 and was marketed with the slogan "Cheap and ugly does it!" The 360 was a commercial failure in North America. They haven't improved much although the price did go up dramatically.

I really hope the electric motor in the hybrid system will have more than 17 hp, that seems like a joke. Empty, it's not punishingly slow, but with people, luggage and some elevation it will struggle, so the hybrid will have to compensate. I think around 30 or more hp from the electric motor will be enough because this vehicle it's built around a price point and it can't get too expensive.

Subaru is proof that the whole “we can’t have good visibility due to safety regulations!” argument is a lie. Glad to see a vehicle with good windows/visibility.

@@KirkKreifels yes, but it’s worth mentioning, Kirk. “The four-cylinder makes 180 horsepower and 178 pound feet of torque, and peak torque comes in a lower rpm than before, so even though it’s down on power, it should feel more responsive.”

Trying to correct the weirdo look but cheesy CVT , underpowered base engine, crappy resolution LCDscreens along with gauges from the early 2000s are making it a poor choice and no it can't be misclassified for toughness and niche as Subbie tires to make us think . It is just cheap and cheesy in design choices and execution. No thanks

@@Hallowsaw Lie and you know it . Have friends with Subbies and they have lot of problems . Rough and primitive does not make it tough as Subbie is marketing itself as a brand . Pick normal solid transmission, take one from ASIN Toyota brand , same with engine if you can't come up with better design than way overrated and often unreliable "boxer" . Design and looks are whole another can of worms but I can understand that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and fanaticism often blinds so people write how awesome is their CVT , this year just improved version is the best one ever made forgetting that "best" CVT is still worse than average automatic with proper transmission gears . CVT is cheap and that is the big reason why Subbies and Nissan are using it and savings are not passed on to consumers. Why not have 3000usd sticker CVT discount? Be honest Subbie . It would stop their romance and would bring proper transmission, and they have it at ASIN Toyota if they can't design one like Mazda does. Before Mazda had their own they did borrow one from Toyota , unfortunately also did from Ford for 626 but those days are long gone and thank God .

All true. The AWD system is really the only thing Subaru has going for the brand. If you don’t live in a snowy area there is no reason to buy a Subaru over the competitors.
