The isager silk mohair in 0 is so versatile, but I love it with any silver grey. It literally lights it up and makes it glow!

I've just recently discovered you two (a recommendation by an American knitter who's "Top 10 favourite knitting podcasts" episode appeared in my feed--congratulations on making her list!!). It's lovely to see and hear Australians, even better, Melbournians (I'm a regional Victorian), and I love that you have this wonderful hobby in common and can enjoy it together. I can't help but think "Where were you when I was younger?". Born in the early 70's, I've knitted since I was a child, but it was never cool, and none of my peers did. I guess there may have been a community of others like me, but with no internet, I never came upon them. The discovery of Ravelry in the late naughties was a wonderment and I have gained so much pleasure from this hobby and the knitting community since. Searching for Australian Knitting content, I initially found Fruity Knitting a few years ago (made in Germany by Australians) which has been hugely influential and enjoyable for me,and now to have you two sharing your enthusiasm and ideas I have even more TV knitting pleasure! Congratulations on what you're doing, and I look forward to watching the rest of your past episodes and will enjoy looking forward to new ones. Also congratulations on your achievements in your professional fields. As a (no longer practicing) physio, I have huge admiration for all in the health profession, and know what a delight it is to have an enjoyable hobby.

So nice to see some Aussie girls doing a knitting podcast. I'm a Melbourne girl but live in Texas now. I would really miss all the access I have to the US Yarn market if I had to move back to Australia! I'm also lucky enough to be going to Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool this October... But.... I'll always miss Australia.

Recommend checking out Tash from Mostly Knitting for adding short rows to a sweater that doesn't have them (and so much other knitting wisdom!)

Just discovered you both 2 episodes ago, love the vibe and the fact you are off-season for us in the northern hemisphere so i can get early ideas for the next knit projects. I love merino and merino blends, but have not tried aussie merino before or have i and not known?! Very curious about the possum as my only encounters here in the great white north are with opossums we occasionally find in a feed bag in the barn or stealing our barn cats' food. NZ is so careful with their other wildlife management projects so i am hoping this is true with this yarn. Save a kiwi, knit with possum?! Thanks for the laughs and your mutual support and enthusiasm for each other's projects.

CUUUUTE the bike lanes remind me of living in Carlton at the beginning of this video! Omg the Myrtle vest is stunning. I don't think it's my personal style but I can definitely appreciate it on you, especially in that turmeric colour. I want to make one of the "collars" or vests from either Petite Knit or My Favourite Things, which opens on the side with either the tie or buttons - am expecting in October so prepping just in case I do end up breastfeeding? Hoping it will give me the cool girl slipover vibe while maintaining accessibility 😂 I am getting so knitfluenced by your vids though...omg those baby hugg boots...and your Norwegian Olympic sweater 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 I also really want to make an April cardigan but am slightly terrified based on how long it's taken you! I have the same issue with counting the picked up stitches 😵‍💫

Awww congrats on finishing your exams!! I'm slowly trawling through all your videos, love the chemistry/interaction between the two of you, you remind me of my own buddies back home! Also the mention of Maker Maker makes me reminisce about the time I spent in Melbourne - definitely couldn't afford to buy lovely yarns when i was there!!

The ribbon/elastic across the shoulders is a good idea! If you look at a lot of stretch garments (store bought t-shirts for example) it will be sewn into the seam as part of the normal construction. Often it's that clear swimwear/chlorine resistant elastic, I've also seen people use the polyester ribbon that comes on swing tags from fancy clothing brands (not sure if this made any sense).

Awww you guys!! I recently moved from Australia to the US and then I found your channel. It's so cozy to listen to your Aussie accents when I'm now surrounded by a foreign accent. Also you're making me envious of all the gorgeous Aussie merinos, whereas I should probably get excited about the brands that I can access here but not back home! Out of curiousity, which brands would you purchase if you were me, in the US? xx

I'm so glad your channel was recommended to me - instantly felt at home with your knit and yarn chat 💖🧶☕. Congratulations on passing your exam Paige🎉 . One of my sons has been sweating on his first semester medicine results (he passed, yay). I keep recommending knitting to him to help relax but he's seen what yarn addiction can do to families and isn't convinced😄. In May we helped another son to move from the Sunshine Coast to Melbourne and I got to enjoy the novelty of wearing my hand knits for longer than thirty minutes ❄. While in Melbourne I got to fan girl at Little Woolie Makes in Hastings, which may have been my motivation for driving to Melbourne and back- don't tell my son🤫.

So now that I've found you two gorgeous girls, I'm bingeing all the episodes. The Better Homes Knitting book bought back so many memories. I'm 58 and so have been knitting for over 50 years and used to just drool over all those patterns which were a pull out booklet that came with the magazine and never actually made any of them as they were too complicated for my simple knitting knowledge, but there are some truly beautiful garments in there.

I stumbled across you girls and am so happy to find a Melbourne based podcast!! Loved all the content. Loooooved the Wandering Flock yarn showed at the end, just amazing. I just received a big order from BWM (a farewell gift from my previous work team) so didn't pay for that one and then went to Sunspun yesterday and made another hefty purchase eeek. But today when I saw the gorgeous red beanie, I now want one of those....I can't justify buying any more wool and adding to my already substantial stash...can I??? 💓💓💓

love all the yarns you bought, especially the wandering flock skeins. i had not heard of garntopia before you mentioned it last episode i think, and now i am extremely tempted to get some blown yarn for a jumper. i think one of you have used the sandnes garn poppy yarn in a previous episode. how does the snefnug feel compared to it? was tossing up between those or also the kos from sandnes which is a slightly different fibre composition but still a blown yarn.
