Manomet

Manomet

Manomet is a science-driven conservation organization with deep roots in bird banding.
We have teams across the Western Hemisphere focused on improving the health of
flyways and ecosystems challenged by climate change and human activities. Our goal
is to reverse the decline of shorebirds, promote coastal resilience, and educate and
empower the next generation of conservationists.

This is very helpful thanks so much! It has been frustrating for me to hear the birds in a tree but not able to find them hiding among the leaves. So I’m learning where in the trees these little guys like to hang out as well as what trees they prefer. The vireos have been incredibly difficult for me to spot although I hear a wide variety of them all the time

15:50 You die first physically then you die again when people stop mentioning your name. By naming the birds after loved ones you keep them alive by saying their name. Just because you can't afford something doesn't mean that you don't deserve the experience. Well said!!!!

Stop talking about it and just show the experts sorting through hundreds of green crabs in premolt and eventually people will learn in the same way people watching their parents and mentors learn. Your voices are distracting. Write your papers for all the other academics who delights in feeling verbose and give curious people the knowhow the old fashioned way, watching.

*Fracking scientist says 2° C by 2030 | 2° C = DISASTER says James Hansen* Fossil emissions are going down only 1% / decade as a part of total energy use. To avoid 2° C, fossil emissions must go down 100% in 2 decades says Stefan Rahmstorf. The news by fracking expert, Dr. Ingraffea,, means emissions now have to go down *100% in 10 years!* Kevin Anderson says we have a 5% chance of staying below 2° C.
