The U360 Capstone Competition is the culmination of Manomet’s U360 Business Sustainability internship, an experiential educational program for college students. Over the course of two semesters, each intern leads up to 25 small business owners through an assessment of their environmental, social, and governance practices. At the end of the U360 program, each student creates a comprehensive action plan for one business, learning how the business can make money, save money, and reduce risks through more sustainable operating practices. Three finalists then pitch their Sustainable Action Plans to a panel of judges and a winner and two runners up are declared.
