I enjoy both Bach as well as Jethro. Jethro is the minstrel in the gallery.

Try some Jethro Tull. British progressive rock band from the late 60s and 70s featuring a flute. Ian Anderson, lead singer and flute player is self taught on the flute. He said he learned to play flute because when he was homeless and sleeping on the street, it was easier to hide from thieves while he slept! Their musical sound is rock/middle ages? Songs From The Wood is my favorite album but all of it is good. Bouree is fabulous flute solo but may be a little classical for some.

The trumpet player I had a crush on introduced me to this album. He went on to become a talented flautist wno unfortunately has ruined his life with demon alcohol. Stand Up is still an incredible album.

I was introduced to Tull as 15 year old Black kid on the southside of Chicago. I was blown away by the unique music of Tull which I found inside of my new discovery of rock music. I have been a Jethro Tull/ Ian Anderson fan ever since.

Genios del rock.Es un grave error etiquetarlos como referentes del rock progresivo porque Ian tiene un Sol dentro de su cabeza,y abarca todos los ambitos musicales.Un grande de la Guitarra como Martin Barre nunca suficientemente reconocido.

One of my first concerts, early 70s, was a Tull tour. One of the few bands that came through eastern NC back then. Alice Cooper and The Winter’s Brothers (Johnnie and Edgar) used to frequent the circuit here as well. Good times!

Funny how he managed to leave out GLENN CORNICK who wrote the original bass line solo and one of his big complaints about Ian was that after a while Ian started playing over his solo. I met Glenn several times when he used to come over to our place while starting up PARIS. He finally broke down when I bugged him a few times to show me Bouree. It had a few lines I just couldn't get down. This was back in the late 70s. Hell of a nice guy. He deserves the credit for the bass line and no one else. I saw them on their first THICK AS A BRICK tour and it was one of the best concerts I ever saw.
