  Hmm, as a new player, would you say this mostly replaces the original Sengoku Basara 2? Wondering what I should give my time to. Thank you by the way for this video. I would also appreciate a video of practically how you play these and engage with the story, without speaking Japanese.

  Nostalgic Vibes... My first Dynasty Warriors that I was playing during my childhood days was DW4, a purely Masterpiece DW game in my opinion. My favourite Dynasty Warriors games of the Entire Franchise will always be 3, 4, 5 and 6 on PS2. 🤷🏻‍♂️✌️

  Enemies in the field need to be able to attack you, but I think in musou games it's often hard to do a lot about a mook that's slashing at your back while you're fighting an officer. If they were to allow the player to block at any time, even in a combo, and in any direction, I think that could open the way for peons to be able to attack more while still allowing a level of player agency that can still nullify their efforts. These games run on a power fantasy, after all.

  So Capcom decide to sue Koei for “copying” their remix system when Koei have been doing this all the way back since DW3XL before Capcom claimed it as their own, yet they decide to completely rip-off Koei by literally copying their main game series. I like this game, and other Capcom titles, obviously Street Fighter among others, but I’ve lost respect for what they did to a much smaller company, a very dirty move.

  Mitsunari is hilariously OP in Sumeragi! Best specials in the game, teleport makes him next to untouchable (even in Heaven Difficulty), dark element lets him heal to offset his low health, and he can 100% any boss as long as he has meter to burn! Also a quick tip: you never need to tag Mitsunari out! If you hold down circle while his Basara Art ends, he teleports right next to the nearest target and in the center of the screen. Teleporting from everything you do leaves absolutely no gaps in this specials, and using specials while teleporting gives you the hold version of those specials. So Mitsunari is all about using special after special to dominate the screen with crowd control! Another great stream, but i wasnt able to jump on this one! I wish i did, because Im a Mitsunari main, too! I have in at level 999! Thanks for the content ad always!

  fun fact you can transfer the charge of triangle to his other moves. For example you can hold triangle and then do R1 the R1 will be the charged version. This goes for all of his charge moves

  @@Profar26 Another thing Iyasu can do is transfer the invincibility of his dodge into his moves making them invincible. If you have triangle charged then dodge and then release triangle during the dodge, you can then cancel the startup of the released triangle into any other move (an good example is forward triangle, as there is enough invul frames from the dodge to cover all of the startup). And he is uniquely able to cancel his any frame of his blockstun into an dodge, allowing him to do an fully invincible guard cancel. Forgive me if that was wordy but that's the best way i can enplane it. It's more of an advanced mechanic and the timing is tight but with enough practice you can do it

  also on an unrated note every character has infinite combos that they can do against non heavy bosses. Just find 4 different moves that can loop into each other and your golden

  Do you happen to know what I could play this game on other than ps1? I need to know if I’m gonna have to buy the ps if I wanna play this game😭 also, they made two other games for the ps2, would those only be available on the ps2?

  Have you played any of the kamen rider battride war games? They're pretty good and I'd love to hear your thoughts on that series too. I also enjoy both warriors orochi ultimate 3 and 4 as well dynasty warriors gundam 3 (best one out of that series). Also devil may cry series has always been a favorite of mine and i got into basara from samurai heroes ( basara 3)

  I have played the Kamen Rider: Battride War series, but not much. As far as Kamen Rider games go, I played all of the PS1 games, PS2 games, Climax Heroes series, and Memory of Heroez. Yeah, I am a Kamen Rider fanboy basically.

  @@Profar26 i am too, haven't played any of the ps 1 or 2 games, climax heroes or memory of heroez but the gameplay looks pretty good. I have all three of the battride war games and enjoy them greatly. I do like a good number of the hessian era riders( faiz,agito, kabuto,wizard) and the new era has not missed either. Whenever you get around to these and what we talked about before, im here for it

  I know you enjoy sumeragi but can we get a few videos on basara 3 and 4? Just would like to see you cover the originals even if its just comparisons between them and the second game

  I am currently working on Sengoku Basara 2 Heroes related videos, as far as structured videos go. I plan to cover everything Sengoku Basara related, but I am doing one game at a time, in order. We will eventually cover Sengoku Basara 3 and 4, but these videos take time to make.

I do enjoy your videos and from your basara 2 heroes video it got my interest in the hd collection, basara 3 utage and i also plan on getting sumeragi( all three for the ps3) you do great work with these videos and its great you cover these.   Peruvian player in my 30s here I remember back then in 2006 a friend of my recomended me "devil kings" cause its cool looking and was pretty funny, i played it and found weird in some way...i enjoyed a little bit, it was my first experience with a musou, months later, the same friend told me that there is a second game with more content but only in japanese, i made my research and realized that the localization of the first game was terrible, with all major changes of japanese culture just to fit western audience, time later i found the second game , thanks to the gamefaqs guides i was managed to understand all the mechanics and modes even been in japanese. To understand the level of how i was amazed, i played around 400 hrs+, i finished high school and still playing runs sometimes, many of my chars reach max lv and with the final weapons,I was not very attached to the internet back then, so when i did another research i found that there is another version of the second game, a "2.5" version, i wasnt able to find that game, the ps2 was already discontinued and an import from japan was absolutely imposible for me that time, i modded my ps2 and thanks to a forum(cant remenber where) i found the iso, clearly reminds that were 40 parts from megaupload with a terrible internet, weeks later finally i had the game in my hands, and what can i say, i loved every part of it, i loved the new stories, the new chars, the first thing that i did was to lv max Kojuro with all his main weapons and armor, plus U CAN IMPORT YOU SAVEDATA FROM PREVIUOS GAME, it totally amazed me, i played that version around +300hrs more, wich makes +700hrs in total playing the second generation of sengoku basara trough the years of my life and with the first version of the ps2 slim(that version everyone says cant be on more of 3 hrs) i stayed away from modern consoles so many years, just playing old jrps from psp and ps2, around 5 or 6 years ago, i got a ps3 and a ps4 and the first thing that i did was to search if there were more games of sengoku basara, i just realized too that our friends of capcom releases a 3.5 and 4.5 version of the third and fourth game xd, i managed to buy SB 3 utage, but......... idk i didnt feel any impact, i played many runs but i found more interesting Sumeragi with al new chars but sadly there is no pc version so i just played the ps3 version on my modded console, but a couple of crashes ruined my experience, now im triyng to find time to play both versions but its a little dificult...u know ..adult life... Great video it fells so great to listen your experience and how its similar to me. pd. years later the customs lost my phisical copy of sumeragi xd pd2 the freakin tadakatsu honda terrorized me in the first and second game pd3. 30 years later my english stills sucks xd Un saludo desde Sudamerica!

  Kojuuro being left handed might also be a nod to his voice actor, Toshiyuki Morikawa; he is Sephiroth after all. As for Oichi's likeness, it's from famous 70s-80s japanese singer Asaoka Megumi. She's a dead ringer to Oichi in Basara, same way that I-NO is Shiina Ringo, Fei Long / the Law family are Bruce Lee, Lei Wulong is Jackie Chan with Jackie's official japanese voice actor etc.
