Hi!!! 🎶
On this channel, I deconstruct songs with oscilloscope visuals, I can do it with different consoles like : 3DS ; DS ; N64 ; SNES ; etc. 🎮

Aside from that, I like making stuff on Famitracker & Piskel. 👾

estuans interius ira vehementi, SEPHIROTH! sors immanis, et inanis. Veni veni venias, ne me mori facias. GLORIOSA! GENEROSA! Try doing the world crisis track from ff7, it's long and uses all 24 sound channels which makes sense since the rest of the audio is cd based and only the music is sequenced.

I don't know too much about the sound chip on the PS1 but this is surprisingly good for a system probably prioritizing streamed audio

does anyone have the raw sound of the wave channel? i want to see what it would sound like on Type A (since that just uses a lame triangle wave)

I thought the PS1 just had nothing but regular music tracks and not these layered tracks? That's why the discs can be played in a music player?

I don't think PS1 necessarily means sequenced? CD's are kinda literally made for streaming lmao, big games just might want to use sequenced music instead because it uses way less space on that 500~900 MB CD

I am truly grateful to you for this decomposition! I think "One-Winged Angel" is the best VG Soundtrack EVER and no other OST cant change my mind! It really has everything: a breathtaking complexity and harmony, a stylistic variety that intertwines completely opposing genres (as Uematsu said) all this compressed into a MIDI and processed by a 32-bit machine... a masterpiece! I remember i heard it for the first time in a cover of Smooth McGroove, considered one of his best works due to the time he spent into recreating it, and from there I always wondered how the original soundtrack would be decomposed… listening to this took me back to the first time I heard it!! thank you so much!!
