I have 2013 veloster as well still running hard but I got the same code P0455 and P0441 …. I replace the same part too … imma try the silicone but but do you have suggestions about the p0441

  • @n.a.k4321

The silicone should get rid of the code. iv only done it once, and the code never came back. Other than that, clean the mass airflow sensor and any electrical plug you can get to. Hopefully, it will fix the problem

once you locate the oil cooler, you'll see a drip line down the side or front of it that how you'll know for sure or drop so cardboard down to see where the leak is coming from. Check oil bolt first if thats tight, and not leaking, it's would most likely be oil cooler, and truly, the worst part is getting the squeeze clips off

Hi, This is info is great! I bet my 2016 Veloster base is the same. I figured there were more than just the 2 bolts that I can see & now I know. I can see that little clip that it slides into, but think my light housing that’s broken might also have that broken too, but will soon find out. I’m in Canada so will scout out where I can buy the replacement parts.

Thank you, this helped me! I found only 3 bolts actually hold the assembly in, but you have to take the bumper bolt from in the wheel well off anyway in order to pop the bumper out to make room for a socket wrench to get the lamp assembly bolt out. You also have to take two bolts and a plastic pop fastener out from the top of the bumper in order to bend the bumper up and out slightly, to make room for sliding the assembly out forward and putting it back.

Thank you for the clue - I used your firewall grommet method (on the passenger side) which worked easiest for me because It just pops right out when you pull on it. Then, fishing the new cables is easy - I first fed one end of a small chain (I used a pull chain from a light fixture) through the opening from the engine compartment side through to the passenger side interior - it was easy to locate where the other end of the chain appears on the passenger side interior as you feed it through. Then I attached the engine compartment end of the chain to the new cable and pulled the new cables through the hole. It took less than 10 minutes!
