  The estimate of numbers of people with high blood pressure is flawed. I have never ever seen blood pressure taken correctly in a doctor’s office. Waiting rooms are noisy and medical assistants are rude. They never give you time alone in a quiet room to calm down and meditate. I refuse blood pressure checks for these reasons.

  For me I have found the best way to consume psyllium powder is to mix an equal portion of metamucil with pure psyllium husk powder. Both can be bought separately on Amazon. I combine both into a large plastic container and thoroughly shake the two together. In doing this it retains the sweetness and orange flavor of the metamucil, but it makes a higher percentage of psyllium powder in the final result. I take a heaping teaspoon twice a day with meals. My total cholesterol levels have dropped from 200 to 155 and I've had an equal percentage drop in my LDL. Additionally your gut microbiome will benefit greatly from the psyllium because it helps in the growth of good bacteria as a prebiotic.
