hello ember is adorable! I have seven years of hedgehog experience if you ever have any questions let me know :D heat is a tricky subject and thing to deal with maybe if you moved the heat closer to the middle it would hold the heat in better

I have been waiting for an update ❤❤ I have no doubt she will have a great bond with you. You're an amazing mama to your pigs, the bunnies, and Elle. I know you will be patient, and she will grow to love and trust you ❤❤ I hope your move goes smoothly lol I hate moving. I wonder if you could get like a pouch or crossbody bag and put her in it and carry her around for a few hours every night or every other night. That way, she can feel safe and hidden but also get used to your voice and smell.
They can't see red light, so a red lightbulb should help ❤
Where do you get your food for Ember? I’m currently looking to switch my hedges food.
Mine is sitting on my should rn with the other 4 jealous bc she is the one that is left out but I love her with all my Guinea pig heart

RE glass water bottles, it's likely the washer inside the lid that needs replacing if it's leaking so suddenly like that. Im not sure if they sell just the washer replacements though, it's something you can look into
When are you moving? I think you said at the end of the month if I remember correctly, nonetheless good luck with the move. can't wait to see the new place.
Definitely make sure that when you do make her cage bigger to keep it crowded (obviously have space for her to move) because they don’t like big open spaces ❤️❤️

Emder is so cute. Meal worms Are actually more of a treat to a hedgehog than bad to them But I would recommend giving them just occasionally as like you give you're Guinea pigs A treat❤😊

We moved in a year ago! I know it feels the same to me it went so quick
I iwsh I had that much fleece. Need to get more. Husband lost his job though so that will have to wait a bit. I did just donate a bunch of extra guinea pig items and food to the shelter where I adopted one of my girls

How old are all your piggies?
I have a variety of ages! Most of my females are 3-4, except Pumpkin who’s around two. Waffles is 6.5, Cinnamon is 4, and Rocket is about 2-3 I think.

What is ur opinion on loreali's new litter box she just came out with for rabbits?
I’d have to look more into it but I feel like I thought there wasn’t enough holes on the top. It looks alright looking back but I think it’s super expensive for what it is

Thank you for taking the time to respond I appreciate it would u ever do an updated video on rabbit diet on small an large rabbits like Flemish giants maybe include a short interview with a vet as well on diet there are not any that are up to date all I have found are a year or more old an non have a trained vet professional involved.
as an animal lover, this makes me sad. my brother has his guinea pig in this cage, feeds her this food, and much more that I see problems with. he never clips her nails, pays any attention to her, cleans her (like wiping her down with a damp cloth, he never does that.) she is filthy and has long curly nails, is stained yellow with pee, her cage once grew MUSHROOMS in it because he never changes her bedding, he got her when he was like 7 and my mother never educated or even tried to get him to take care of her, and she doesn't bother to take care of her either. and the most insane thing is that they blame the guinea pig for all this. any time I speak up about that her living conditions are abusive and wrong my mom screams at me. my brother just tells me to shut up, and I don't know what to do. I feel so bad for her. also we can completely afford better stuff for her keep in mind. I used to keep her clean, hold her, and clip her nails, because I felt bad, but then my brother (her owner) told me to stop and that I'm scaring her. so now she's filthier than ever and he hasn't acknowledged her in any way in months. I'm surprised she's even alive
Does she not chew on the cord that’s in the inside of her cage?
No! I don’t think hedgehogs have the same chewing desire as their teeth don’t permanently grow like pigs

The makeover room was beautiful and the babies will be super happy in this complete space just for them. I read in a girl's comment that her mother doesn't allow her to have a guinea pig because they stink. Girl, I'll tell you this ain't true. Guinea pigs do not stink, they only eat vegetables and fruits (research the right ones, not all vegetables and fruits are good for them. These are served moderately only once a day), they should always have plenty of hay at all times, guinea pig pellets, water, spacious area to run, play and exercise and they love to sleep hidden so cave-shaped beds are ideal. For urine and poop to stink it is because your human is not properly caring for or cleaning his cage or living area for many days. Anyone who is not willing to take the time to properly care for a pet is not fit to have any type of pet, large or small. My mother is very old, has health conditions and has almost completely lost her sight, she has had 2 guinea pigs, and they have been the best pet for her, it is very easy for her to care for, feed and keep her area clean, they are creatures very affectionate and too adorable.
what's wrong with the tooth? why removed in the first place?
His teeth had malocclusion! They didn’t grow properly or grind down, so they were extremely overgrown curved and he couldn’t eat well, it was due to genetics and having too small of a head to fit them properly
pet shops in uk are so much worse than america sadly! Very rare you walk in somewhere and can find what you need that is safe for your pets. Seems like they only care about cats and dogs then just throw a load of stuff at rodents and say “yeah that’ll be fine… who cares if they pass from it? We get money!”. Genuinely infuriates me but guess there’s nothing I can do aha
There definitely is stuff you can do! Not shopping there is a simple way. You can always send emails voicing your concerns as well. I do very much agree with you though. I'm a part of the UK guinea pig forum and they definitely seem worse over there which is very disheartening.
