FWIW the moment the accusations came out I actually bothered to read the Australian article describing the technique of attracting carp with hormones for the purpose of erradicating them. It was immediately apparent to me that the technique as described (injecting fish etc) was useless for the purpose of carp fishing. Any half reasonable person could have done the same and reach similar conclusion, but the sad truth is that there are not many scientifically minded carp anglers capable of critical thinking. I feel sorry for Tom and others that got accused of it.

The only worm I play with is my little one between my legs and that’s lost a lot of length over time! 😂

Chopped worms and casters, has been around since I was a child fifty plus years ago. Good angling sir. The kebab rig has been extensively written about since Rod Hutchinson wrote about it, maybe even Isaac Walton in the 17th century probably used worms 😂 . You use what you believe is best in your fishing. If you started using heroin, crack cocaine in your spod mixes 😂 that might be a talking point but, chopped worms 😂 utterly ridiculous bullshit this lad has had to deal with. This is how sad, jealous and bitter people become because someone is a better angler than they are. Great angling Tom.

Really enjoyed this podcast I’ve not really followed or watched anything you’ve done as we fish different types of waters but taken some tips(thanks) the way you worded that about the way you were treated was brilliant well done. I had a so called friend bad mouth me saying I nicked his swim and fished his baited spot just because I was catching fish even though he was as well very strange I never see it coming but that hurt having people think that about me especially from a so called friend so can’t imagine what it was like for you keep doing what your doing and enjoy it 👌

You’ve been nothing but an utter gent to me ok instagram no matter how busy your life is. You are a genuine man full of integrity. What you went through was nothing more than small minded men who are emotionally immature from a lack on intentional parenting when they were growing up. Pathetic people. Well done for using their hate to make your success even sweeter.

Great podcast Tom. There's a terrible spitefulness in people. Loving gossip, pleased when someone is in trouble, bullying, bitching etc. It will never change, just try and surround yourself with kind human beings.

I’m literally right at the beginning of my angling journey over various platforms and it seemed like as soon as you start getting a bit of traction negativity starts to really come to the fore front. It’s sad really but I applaud your strength mate and I’d kill to fish in a peg next to such a top angler. Keep showing them how it’s done 💪🎣

It’s so sad to see how much of a price success can come at, I had no idea what you went through Tom and huge huge props to you for coming through it.. great to see your progression as a person over all these years. It’s so so difficult to be in the top 1% of what you do, you’ve stuck at it and it’s commendable. Well done for speaking out, not to mention I’ve learnt loads ❤️👊🏽

Quite embarrassed that I've never heard of Tom Maker as I've always been a pleasure angler who drifted into carp angling from pleasure match angling with a float rod or pole. Chopped worms are no big secret but overlooked in carping because they're not shaped like a boilie. The whole podcast has reset my thinking process having heard this interview. Lots of respect for you. Thanks Tom

I’ve been following Tom since I started fishing … he is the reason why I use Krill after struggling to find a solid bait, this worm game sounds interesting. What a lad … I can’t stress how much this guy has given to get where he is and I have only been fishing for 5 years, great inspiration. Good things are happening to him because of the effort he has given … I’m just saying
