Good content on a great Pro Saw! I have been with Husqvarna for 30 years until this season. My mechanic finally convinced me to go X Series. I will say in my experience, the 620 and the 7310 are excellent Logging Saws, and more reliable than their competitors. There are more powerful Saws out there, but nothing out classes them in over all performance, price, and durability in my impressions. No hate on Husky or Stihl, they are excellent...

That last spruce that was limb tied, and you were banging wedges, and the top moved, but you could tell it was limb tied good - I'm glad you didn't start thinning your hinge more, and just dropped the little cedar. I did that once, and when I was banging, thinned the hinge too much and the hinge popped, and the tree went backwards into the the tree it was hung up in. Too much lift from the wedges for a thin hinge. Kinda scared me when it went pop. Then, the fun of pulling it out ...

That's a beautiful setting you have to work on there. I was really interested in this Echo so I started looking into it, way too much squish band at @ .063" IIRC, great filtration but at the expense of good flow, and now I heard you mention the weight which I hadn't even thought to consider yet. The price is near enough to the other big saws in it's class that I can't justify the 7310. Buckin' Billy Ray went to Walkers saw shop and got to run the 7310, a 572, and a 462 all hopped up by Walker and the Echo was just outclassed. I'm sure it's a fine saw in an "Echo" chamber *groan* but when you consider the others they overshadow the good things the 7310 has going for it. Maybe Donny Walker will find more power in the 7310, or maybe Echo will make some changes on their end, that would be nice to see them more competitive.
@t.texasty4 ай бұрын
It won’t win any races against a Stihl or Husky 70cc class saw, that’s for sure. But it’s probably the most reliable work saw I have ever owned. And it feels great in the hands falling timber, limbing, etc. To me that’s more important than horsepower, I’m not a production faller or am I ever in a hurry 😎 I do have some hot rod 372s which are great but I seem use the Echo the most over the past year.
