Thank you Oscar! I just replaced my lower ball joints on both sides and I've ordered the inner tie rods for both sides too. My driver side has play in it and after checking it looks like it's the inner tie rod that's bad. You did a great job on this video!!! Thank you again for posting it!!!

The illustrations and video are amazing..!! You were a bit to repetitious in your narrations, DIY who is even remotely attempting this job already may have a 25 to 45% mechanical background knowledge, so setups you can skip, procedures engine configurations are what's important. But, good attention to detail though...

Do all the wheels have abs sensors? You mentioned the passenger side axle didn't have an abs ring. Is it only on the drivers side? I have a 2012 mazda 3. Been hard to find information on taking the ring off and putting on. Any tips? Some people were having to use a blow torch to heat up the ring before they put it on, so it looks like it might be a challenge? What would you recommend?

  • @oscars-autorepair3236

Great question, I put the red disc quiet spray on the outer brake pad not the inner. That keeps the outer brake pad from squeaking. It serves as a layer of protection.

@oscars-autorepair3236 my first time doing this. Am in a bit of financial struggle so I'll have to change the oil pump on 2004 chevy tahoe, myself. Want to make sure I do every procedure right. What worries me is the torquing procedure on the crankshaft bolt, I've read many sites but would like to see it done and saying not to reuse old bolt. That way I know what I'm getting too.

Everything is ok except that valuecraft ball joint. I'd never put that part on a Sequoia, especially the ball joints. That's the low end of replacement parts manufacturing and the Sequoia already have issues with the ball joints. Also, if you remove the brake caliper you might as well unbolt the lower ball joint and take the entire knuckle off. You wouldn't have to remove the actual ball joint from the control arm or the tie rod end to do it.

Was just getting tightening the last bolt (the 15mm), bolt wouldn't tighten up. When I took it out, it brought some aluminum threads with it. Tomorrow I'll drop the pan and see if I can tap it for a larger bolt, or have to just buy another pan.
