    Thank you for posting this video. This was the exact content that I needed to replace the passenger side mirror on my 2017 Toyota tundra SR5 crew max the only difference being that there is no speaker that I had to worry about. Thanks again!!

    Trev, I really want to polish a miror finish on an aluminum rim that has a lot of crevices. Can that be done? Thanks.

  • @TrevsGarage
    @TrevsGarageАй бұрын

    It can be done it will just take more time and attention to detail given all the crevices likely around the spokes I imagine. You may also want some smaller airway buff wheels to get into those tight spots.

    @TrevsGarage Trev, thank you. I'll look into an assortment of polishing and sanding tools for this purpose. Again, thank you.

    My initial thought on the broken tabs on the inside, is how and where (hand placement) the hood is closed. If pressure is put on the hood scoop/bulge when closing, that could be a factor. I baby mine when I close it. Haven't noticed this issue from the video, but haven't looked for it either.

    @@TrevsGarage I've just successfully hard-wired my Garmin 57 into the electrical system of my 2009 Toyota Yaris. I wired a red & yellow wire into the electrical system, as I want the Park Mode feature of my dashcam to videotape everything while I'm parked & the engine is turned OFF. I cut off the butt crimp connector at the end of both Fuse Tap Adapter & replaced it with Bullet quick connect/disconnect, I made certain to crimp the FEMALE Bullet Connector to the end of the Fuse Tap Adapter wire. If, for any reason, I decide to disconnect the hard-wiring kit, there won't be bare metal that could cause problems. The MALE Bullet connector I crimped onto the dashcam wires. I, personally, prefer Bullet quick connect/disconnect rather than spade. Also, the Bullet connectors I used are insulated & have heat shrink which makes for a clean, waterproof connection between wire & connector after being crimped. Warm Regards from Reno, Nevada

    Good little video. 👍 My 2016 has this issue as well. You'd think either having metal tabs on these ( or even the entire piece) made of metal would be the way to go. Granted, it would be more expensive.. but one and done would be cheaper than two, three, or more plastic replacements.

  • @TrevsGarage

    Looked up that Dewalt model looks like it is an angle grinder. I think you may have trouble when using the sandpaper at those higher RPM's. I'd recommend trying a small test spot first. Best of luck!
