My name is Paul from Alabama. I like this content. I also consider myself to be a artist and crafter. You also inspired me with the music from Help Hounds. But this whip making really caught my attention. I am going to try and start making whips. My braiding experience is mainly macrame. I am excited that making whips will carry me into a new braiding experience. Thanks for your channel!!!.

This video made me want to frickin cry.... 😭 I had this EXACT SAME whip. Im not talking similar. I mean EXACT. It ended up getting stolen from me sever years ago and i miss that whip so much. I still have 2 bullwhips but nothing handled like that indy... I still look for it frequently on various forums, marketplaces, and websites that sell used whips. I doubt ill ever see it again but man... Id love to have it back. Some people really suck 😞 to anyone reading this, be careful who you trust and know that people can turn on you faster than a wild animal...

I purchased an 8ft kangaroo leather bullwhip. It came with a tapered leather fall with cracker. The fall was 26" and the cracker was 12". I was able get a crack using only the cattleman's crack and only then when using significant effort. I shorted the fall to 24" and the cracker to 8" per your video. Whip performs cracks significantly better now. Thank you.

I want to try this, but where I live (over here in Belgium) it's not easy to find the right type of cord. Especially sinker cord seems to be hard to find. Is it similar to coreless 650 paracord? I can also find 750 or 1250 locally and I could take out the core myself if that would be better. Does anyone have some words of wisdom for me?

dear nick, thanks much for sharing this information. my second whip was a 4ft snakewhip, using your 2018 method, and it came out nicely. subsequently i received my first request for a whip. my go-to is the bare bones (for now) as it is a time saver. i learned so much, making a bare bones for the second time. much appreciated. i hope that the two of you are well.

I’ve built 2 of your micro whips. The first one turned out rather poorly, the second one was better. It still had a few errors. The problem I am having is the mid and heel knots. I can’t follow along because the video goes through it too fast. I would appreciate tutorial videos showing the process at a much slower pace. I have been trying for at least two days, and just can’t get it. I also had problems keeping the strands in the correct order, but the second one was better, but it still has some errors.
