Here he is doing Pyung Ahn Ee-Dan, which is Heian Nidan (Shotokan)/Pinan Shodan (Shorin-Ryu). The Korean version of the Pinan series is called the Pyung Ahn series. There are 5 Pyung Ahn as there are 5 Pinan. The Pyung Ahn names are; Cho-Dan, Ee-Dan, Sam-Dan, Sa-Dan, Oh-Dan. However, keep in mind that Funikoshi, when creating Shotokan the Heian kata from Okinawan Shorin-Ryu Pinan kata, he flipped Pinan Shodan with Pinan Nidan. He thought it made it easier for students to learn. So, Heian Shodan is Pinan Nidan. Heian Nidan is Pinan Shodan. So this would be the second kata in Shorin Ryu but the first kata in Shotokan. And since Most Tae Kwon Do and Tang Soo Do styles originated from Shotokan, you will see the relationship with Heian Kata...
