Thank you, I'm removing the front seat on my SAAB 9-3 from 1999. But how do I remove the seat bealt that is attached to the chair? It says Airbag (side airbag close to the door) there so I'm afraid of removing the plastic panel in front of the seatbelt attachment. Any advice? Thank for your great work. Best regards from Sweden.

There is a square pin that you have to push on in order to unhook it from the seat. First, use a flashlight to locate the square pin. Don't forget to disconnect the battery -ve pole, if you disconnect the connector under the seat.

I thought the crank bolt was a torque to yield bolt and you shouldn’t reuse it. Just wondering as I did replace mine when I changed the timing chain tensioner. Thx

Correct, better replace it with a new one. Ordered a new bolt just in case. The problem with SAAB is to always order parts in advance in order to finish the job on time.

Your car comes with H7 halogen bulbs. Xenon lights comes with additional wiring from the factory (Module, level sensors etc.). The best thing is to leave it the way it is. Maybe replace the bulbs, if they are burnt or replace them with H7 equivalent LED bulbs.

Needed to take a linisher to my driveshaft before new abs ring would fit, pattern part though. I've been working on cars for 45 years and this was one of the worst jobs I've ever done....and I've a fully equipped DIY workshop and even an induction heater for seized fittings, but no ramp. 6 hours to remove the bolts, one of which broke. Old ABS sensor broke so had to be drilled out. Then alinging the various arms was a nightmare too. There are quite a few tools involved that the average Joe may not have. Probably worth getting a Mercedes specialist to do this, I won't do another.

For just the instrument panel, I got by without removing the steering wheel, turn signal or wiper switches - with a small caution. All the other switches, radio, SID, steering wheel cowl and the fascia - that large flat plastic piece will bend enough to get the air ducts free. But I imagine you don't want to take any risk with a customer's car and I don't know if all fascias such as carbon fiber and wood grain, will bend like my original black one. Just did this, again, on my 1997 Saab 900SE.

Remove the glass: Remove the four screws from the underside, turn over the unit so that the back side is facing down, take hold of the sides and press in the catches with your fingers. Important Exercise great care. Do not touch the needles on the main instrument unit under any circumstances. This could cause faulty readings or damage the stepping motors.

Is there enough play to cause left side to right side difference of maybe 10mm for axis or the bolts will guide the subframe to exact spot? Just making sure if there is play I can use prybar and strap to set subframe axis as evenly as possible so I do not affect vehicle caster angle too much. I appreciate it! 🙏
