Mine is leaking from inside the steering rack through the rubber hood suspecting the seals have given up

Sir, I have a question which I haven't seen in any videos, on the 2007- Saab 9-5s with no dipstick for ATF, what is the best method to open the T55 torx bolt to refill? I currently have 4 extensions connected, with the intercooler hose and bypass valve stuff moved out of the way.. and I still can't get a confident grip on it. I don't know what Saab / GM were thinking! That aside, as a Saab 9-3, 9-5 and Volvo 940 owner, this channel is excellent and has helped me a lot. Best from Ireland.

Spray some loose nut around the plug. With the engine warm, insert the torx socket with half inch drive extension perpendicular to the plug. Try to loosen the plug with a breaker bar connected to the extension. Ask someone to tap on the breaker bar with a little force of hammer, while loosening the plug at the same time.

@@saabmastertech5852 Thanks very much - I was using a 3/8 drive and it felt very uncertain. I'll buy some 1/2 inch stuff with a very long extension. I find keeping the torx head perpendicular very tricky. Thanks again!
