Welcome to Nivla's Nightcap Notes. I'm quite a fan of whisky and other beverages, so I am going to share some of my thoughts with you in these videos. Thanks for watching!
I think it's wonderful, and I found my 750ml bottle for an amazing price.

Seems i found a fellow connoisseur, ive been drinking an Australian brand of Brandy called Black Bottle, Grape distilled 2 years in oak its smooth, tasty with vanilla hints & smells amazing, why is it that i can drink 350mls of straight Brandy and feel absolutely fine, but if i drink 200mls of whiskey im head first in the toilet regretting my decisions? Is it because Brandy isnt as harsh on the body/liver as Brandy? Brandy really is the medicine people make it out to be, i dont drink often but when i do Brandy really hits the spot

I've only ever bought Glen Moray once. It's a nice enough dram, but it gives me an absolutely shocking headache the next morning... and that was after just one drink the night before.

Safe travels, and good luck with the whiskey haul. Save space for a Knob Creek 12yr, I say.

Fab review - polished a couple of bottles of 12 off and have a bottle of the S on the shelf waiting to be opened. One day I'll be brave enough to buy the 18 😍

Nice to catch up with tour videos again, Nivla. I'm tasting Bunna Stiuireadair soon, here in Uruguay the 12 Is pretty expensive, but I was glad to hear that this expression is up to the task. Take care

It is great to see you again Nivla and as always with a wonderful selection of malts. I am yet to try any of the Bunnas expressions but they are not cheap here in Oz and I am mostly persuaded towards the peatier options out there. I might have to sucumbe to pay for a nip at a fancy pub perhaps, with hopes it agrees with my not-too-seasoned pallet. Cheers mate and thank you again for your video.

Russell' s Reserve 10, at 90 proof, represents the acme of bourbon at (approximately) the proof at which all classic scotch is enjoyed. It measures up quite well, don't it?

Thank you Nivla for the review. I know exactly on wich shelf the Singleton's are located in my liquer store, but I've always walked passed them in pursuit of other whiskys. A friend of my girlfriend has Singleton as one of his favourite distilleries. The 12yo is just $31 AUD here, so its a good price. The label is diffrent now.

I like every Laphroaig I have tried except for the 10. That is just a shame (at 40%) in my opinion. I think maybe of these three, Laga comes in at top, but Ardbeg though. I think I’m a fanboy 😅

Thank you for the review Nivla. At the moment we only have the expensive special editions here, so I'll have to wait for the core range to be availlable again. This whisky usually gets positive reviews. Always nice to see you. Take care.

One of the best offerings from the states that is reasonably priced and a real premium product, most of the time we’re offered their average bourbon as premium and pay through the nose. Nice vintage bottle too Nivla

Thank you Nivla. This has a lot positive reviews. Arran makes good stuff. Unfortunately there's only Sherry Cask and Peated Sherry Cask here wich I do enjoy. Well there's also a 24yo and a 25yo for a gazillion pounds 😂 When I find it, I will definitely consider picking this up 😊

Good to hear from you as always Pezrulez. Those old whiskies are VERY expensive and I am happy sticking with the ones I can afford. I am coming to Europe in July, but won't be anywhere near where you live. My wife and I are making our last big overseas trip to visit my family in the USA and then go on a holiday. All the best.

The little sad part is that these are colored I do like the house style of Bowmore, but there's a slight sour note I really can't get passed. That sets me back a bit. The 18yo is on my list, but there's quite a number of wiskys before that. Hope you are fine my friend. Take care!

Almost. Napoleon is not an age of brandy but it is an age of cognac; either over six or ten years depending on the distiller. That's said a brandy or a cognac can be both "Napoleon" and XO or even XXO (14 years or older) and even labeled as Hors d'Age as well; again it all depends upon the maker.
