What a delight. Lovely nose, flavours, finish. Great value too. Definitely one to try!

Definitely a classic. I still love it after 30+ years. I've moved on from Glenfiddich and Glenlivet but this one is different somehow...so fresh and honied.

Moved away from the bland and regular, to something a little classier. I love it too!

Once more, I totally agree with you Nivla. Superb stuff, sophisticated, affordable and delicious. One that I'll always replace when finished. Greetings from Uruguay, take care

I couldn’t agree more. For a 40%, 10 year old, this is a masterpiece. Will be replaced when the bottle is empty 😊

Nice review Sir. Funnily enough I first try this in strip club when I was on holidays in Australia in Gold Coast QLD. Every time I see this whisky it reminds me of this time, on the other hand it’s an amazing dram and takes me back to a good time. Chers from India

@@NivlasNightcapNotes the visit was amazing sir we had a big party. It’s one day I won’t forget for a long time. I hope to visit Australia again one day soon, as soon as we can put a cap on this cost of living crisis worldwide!

Thank you Nivla for the review. I do agree on this one. Though I like more bold notes, and wish this was at least 46-48% ABV, Ienjoy it. Its light, friendly and fairly complex. The Glenmorangie I love the most of those Ive had is the Quinta Ruban 14yo, because of the sherry influence. The 10yo is more based on Bourbon notes. Thanks again. Always loving your reviews 🤗 Take care!

Always good to hear from you Pezrulez. I too like the Quinta Ruban (my bottle is 12yo) but I am sure the base spirit for that and other expressions is this Glenmorangie The Original. If I ever make it back to Scotland, this distillery is definitely on my Bucket List!! All the best.

The Glenmorangie 10 is a bottle I always replace when it's gone, same as the Arran 10🥃👍

@@NivlasNightcapNotes i've heard people saying it's a simple whisky, that's what i actualy like, a good quality Scotch you can drink and enjoy without having to overanalyse it. You can appreciate the craftmanship, enjoy the dram and have a nice conversation all at the same time🙂🥃

I have one unopened for a year now, You give me the push today to open it up! I let you know how it was for me, that Glenmorangie!

I would find it hard to leave a bottle unopened for a week, let alone a year!!! The stuff is for drinking, not keeping. I hope you enjoy it when you crack it open!

@@NivlasNightcapNotes Just opened it, and I think the first taste is not what I expected from your review. But I saw there is a lot of whisky out your bottle. And I know when there is some air in the bottle after opening, the dram gets better. Same happened with my Ardbeg 10yr. Its so much better after opening. Still waiting for my Redbreast 12yr to improve. I try now and then, but it stays to much wine for my taste. I think its one for the 7up I am afraid.

Is the 7up the same as me saying destined for the Rusty Nail cupboard. I think your Redbreast is probably not going to improve. I am disappointed that the Glenmorangie did not live up to expectations. Maybe a different bottling? All the best.

@@NivlasNightcapNotes Today I tried another Glenmorangie, and it was a bit improved now it did have some air in the bottle. But I am sure I have a other batch than you have. Same as the Highland Park 10, the difference with the 12 is huge, while moneywise the 2 years is well spend. And the Redbreast stays drinkable for a long time. So maybe my tastebuds will change? In the meantime, the peaty ones from Islay and Tobermory are tasty this winter. I think you would like the Kilchoman Sanaig too. Its something special.

@@NivlasNightcapNotes I can tell you, I take the 3th dram from the bottle, and its really getting better. I think the air really helps improve the taste. More nose too now. You made me curious with the Ballantines 17. my father used to drink the normal one.

I have to agree, Nivla. One of the first Scotch malts I ever tried, I still enjoy it. They distill it well and they use good wood and not too many times. Simple stuff, but it simply works.

That is one of the good things about being individuals. We all have different tastes, and that is OK. I don't find this bland, but that doesn't make me right as regards your palate. Thanks for the comment!
