Thank you for the update on the EGO mower. Still going strong with my 4 or 5 year old Kobalt 21" self propelled with the original 6aH battery that is used in other Kobalt tools.

I came across your video on KZread while looking for videos of other Kobalt tools. First of all, I own a Kobalt 80 volt, 21 inch self propelled lawn mower with a 6aH battery - not a 5aH as you used, that I purchased from Lowe's, 4, maybe 5 years ago, and have had no issues with it. People tend to prefer what they have purchased over something else so as to not look like they made an unwise purchase, I'm no different, and will admit that. I did add a digital clock to the battery cover to keep up with the time. And, I have never used an EGO product, but being pleased with other Kobalt tools, electric and hand, I went with their mower. I also have a Kobalt extended hedge trimmer, string trimmer and chain saw, all using the same 80 volt battery, and am looking at blowers now. Your bias toward the EGO was evident from the beginning. Do you work for EGO, a relative works for EGO, have stock in EGO? I noticed that the underside of the EGO looked clean, even new, with new blades, while the Kobalt was dirty with used blades. As to choking, we have Meyer Zoysia grass which is very thick and I have never had a choking problem, in fact it speeds up as needed, and I easily have more than an hour of run time. As to the torque, I have no idea of the level, but is is plenty for me. We have a 3/4 acre lot and I usually outline the area and cut around the landscaping and then cut the rest with my Husqvarna lawn tractor. But sometimes, if my knees will let me, I'll cut the whole thing with the Kobalt for the exercise. The lid not staying up is not a problem and neither is the loading/unloading of the battery. As to changing the cut height, I cut at one level in the spring and at a higher lever in the hotter months; not a problem at all to adjust the height, with one hand. I'll point out that I am 72 with Lupus and a heart condition and it is not a problem for me at all. The handle and the battery indicator on the handle work quite well. Folding the handle and setting it upright is not an issue as my attached shop (off the garage) is large enough that I leave it on the floor. Once I set the handle height, I don't change it. I am 6' 2" and my wife is 5' 4" and she will lower the handle when she wants to use it to cut the fenced in area for our Maltese, and returns it to my height setting with no problem. As to your 2nd LED not working, could an EGO, out of the box, possibly have an issue? As I said, the EGO looks new and the Kobalt looks used. My single blade for bagging/mulching works well in either case and I bag usually. As to the Kobalt not bagging after becoming 1/3 to 1/2 full, mine doesn't and it is easy to engage and remove. You appeared to be overacting in your struggling to load the battery, adjust the handle and the height of the cut and the cutting of the grass. You said the EGO had "ballistic" plastic while the Kobalt was of "good quality", not mentioning that the Kobalt deck is steel, but you did say a "metal chassis". In your cutting demonstration, were both blades sharp? Again, the EGO blades looked new. Were both batteries at full charge? How can each one have a 21" cut, yet the EGO cuts wider. I watched the EGO cutting several times and it appears that when you pulled the EGO back, you moved it a little to the left, thus widening the cut area. Again, you overacted in your struggling with the Kobalt. Your referred to the EGO as a "Range Rover" and I am surprised that you did not refer to the Kobalt as a "Yugo", but that was your point. You even said the EGO looked better, but you did say that that was subjective. Maybe you just don't like the color blue. As to warranty, I have not had an issue with any Kobalt product and you said that you had no experience with a warranty with the EGO company so how do you know it is great and the Kobalt service is nonexistent? And finally, you used words such as Hell, damn (twice), pain it the butt (twice) and Jesus Christ (as a curse word) in talking about the Kobalt. Why would you use the name of the Son of God as a curse word? As I stated , your bias for the EGO is overwhelming.
Your message was too long. Didn't read most of it. Saw you complaining about me saying some "bad words" in the end though - get used to it, it's a new world. As for Ego vs Kobalt - I recently released a video where I amended my opinion on Ego. I'm no longer a fan. All the best to you.

Do you know what the maximum dose of coffee for this machine is? Most Gaggia machines max out at 11.5 grams, while Jura goes as high as 16 grams. Coffee is generally measured in grams, btw, not ounces.

I used to buy both HP computers and printers for both my home and my business. I gave up on HP computers about ten years ago as they had become crap imho and went to Dell. Now with their bricking of printers not using their ink, I threw out an HP inkjet and bought a Brother multifunction that works great. I will replace my laser printers with Brother or Canon as the HPs die. HP killed itself by making garbage and shifting customers. I still do not understand why they went through with the idiot Compaq merger, why they then bought and destroyed Palm, etc. Peter Principle?

Our company has used HP computers and printers for years. Because of HP's predatory and unethical business practices with respect to its printers, we've gotten rid of all HP printers, and we are transitioning to other brands. I have an HP 10B business calculator that has worked wonderfully since the early 1990s. It still works beautifully. How sad to see a once respectable organization like HP decide to take a nose dive into the corporate sewer.
