It’s not as uncomfortable as a supersport but noticeably lower than stock handlebars so not particularly comfortable either. Somewhere in between. If you have ridden supersports before then you’ll be just fine but if this your first clip ons then I’d say your body will need some getting used to the position.

I don’t see myself doing 200km rides often with these lower handlebars. Maybe 100-150km tops. For long distance riding I’d recommend keeping the stock handlebars - it has the right amount of rise and pretty great overall

I see you removed the bar end mirrors. How are you liking the conventionals? Would you be keen to sell the factory mirrors?
@CyMOTOau Жыл бұрын
Yeah much prefer the conventional mirrors over the giant stock bar end mirrors. I generally prefer bar end mirrors over traditional ones but in the case of XSR, I’m finding the traditional ones work better clearance-wise. Not looking to sell the stock ones yet but thanks

@@CyMOTOau I appreciate the reply mate. I have just spent the last 2 days researching new mirrors, i broke the glass trying to figure out how the factory ones come apart. Finding a quality aftermarket barend setup to suit that big M16 threaded bar isn't so easy so far. I think going the traditional mirror route will solve alot of my issues. Merry Xmas

@@kingkire1556 no worries and merry Xmas to you too. If it’s any consolation, I had a pair of aftermarket bar end mirrors prior to the conventional ones I have now. You could try those first if bar end mirrors is your first pref. The ones I had was “New Pair Black Bar End Rear View Side Mirrors For 2003-2016 Kawasaki Z1000 Bikes” from eBay store ishop_au

@CyMOTOau Жыл бұрын
It’s ideal for city riding / commuting to work and its Riding Mode 3 is perfect for that. The bike is quite nimble too so handling is a breeze. The seat though is quite hard / firm. Really hoping Yamaha comes up with a comfort seat with more cushioning.
