I'm Amanda and have been living full time vanlife for 10+ years with my dog Frank. We explore from the tideline to the alpine living simple and collecting skills. Most of our time is spent enjoying hiking, climbing, foraging, romping in our van 'Truck' and relaxing. I try to live a slow and quiet life but misadventure and projects always find me, so we enjoy a peaceful yet adventurous and eventful life on the road.

Thank you for coming along for the ride as I share our day to day experiences and lessons learned over the years!

That was a cool camping trip. It had everything, so peaceful & relaxing, yet with a bit of action suspense with the bear. You are both so brave, with Frank protecting his mumma barking, what a great boy he is. You have certainly given him, his best life. You are a great pup owner, cheers

beautiful video in nature. i was wondering if Frank might get some benefit from some fish or meat. not when you are far from civilization but if you are near a town for a while. i know i am by trying to eat some. feeling stronger. btw you and Flossy Rock do rock and are very self-sufficient! your hair looks so healthy and cute on you. i do worry every time you bend near the fire to build it though. your hair can get too close!!!!

Nice to see you enjoying so epic nature time, and Frank having such a good time being a dog. I've camped/rafted the wild and scenic section of the Rogue River in Oregon and saw several bears, one of which raided sour cream out of a neighbor ing camps cooler when they didn't put it in the bear fence.

Wouldn't mind a video on your KZread career. I'm full-time, not a van lifer, but I consider myself an overlander. I have been full-time for a couple of years myself and am planning next year to do the Pan American highway. I'm on a budget and went a year without paying for a campground by choice. I've gone back and forth about stating a KZread channel and would like to know how long it takes to film, edit, etc., and what you bring in a month being a KZreadr. Don't know if the money would be worth it for the hours to film and edit. I've personally talked with full-time overlanders who have 50k subscribers all the way to 250k subscribers. They say it's worth it to bring in some extra income. What's your thought?

I'm more comfortable with coffee <$1 a day ⭕ k. I paid $12K for the house 2018. It's a slum but super affordable. I can live here <$500 a month. Everything is near I just don't use much fuel. 6 gallons a month is about right. So far this year $101was my largest bill that's power, water sewer, garbage. Tax is ,$55 year.

When I was in my early 20's I was mc tent camping and I should have kept it. I was half homeless and I was earning in Ga home in MS. Should have split with the woman and just made it on my own. She cashed me out eventually.

I know you've probably said multiple times in multiple videos but I'm curious if your hammock is a single or a double? I want to be able to sit in one like you do.. looks super comfy ❤ Also, my favorite all time moment in all the videos of yours I've watched thus far... "Fuck, that's a cub!!" ...I've watched it over and over and laugh more each time. A very well placed f bomb 😂 love it!

You are a brave soul you and Frank I’m so happy you made it back home safe and sound to your tiny little home. You guys always make my day. Be safe out there.🇺🇸♥️🫶🙏🙂🐾🚐🏔️🇨🇦

Absolutely loved this video! The calmness and the serenity captured was definitely felt through the screen. Also I did want to say that there are always going to be those people who have to have everything fast paced and videos have to be filled with event after event to claim that its captivating enough, but just let me tell you that that doesn't mean that your content isn't exciting enough. I absolutely loved listening to you talk about different species of plants, all the nature that you were able to experience, the meals prepared and of course sweet Frank. Honestly everybody brews a different cup of tea, but just because there's is different than your cup, doesn't mean yours is less tasteful! The feeling of calm and the slow living you display with your dog is why I keep coming back because you portray that so beautifully and I yearn for that lifestyle with my own pets. So I know I'm going off on a tangent now lol but I truly felt like I needed to tell you to keep posting content that's original to you and not the wants and needs of others or trying to meet their expectations...because that's exhausting and your videos rock by themselves just you, being you! Have a happy 4th of July tidelinetoalpine! 😄

Cooking a meal at/after dusk/dark in camp right next to your tent in clothes you will wear in your tent in BEAR country is really asking for trouble. My rule of thumb when backpacking or paddle camping was cook the big meal at lunch somewhere you aren't staying or if at your camp evening or later, in an area far away from your tent.. I was pretty shocked to not see a bear canister for storing your food or at a minimum hanging the food up much higher, farther away from your tent and main camp area since you could not hang it higher than the height of the bears head when they are on all 4s..

I was surprised at how much you can get on the paddleboard. I've never been on one, never will. I'm 72 with very poor balance! That was a nice spot you found, the sunsets so pretty. I feel like a mother....I worry about you! I don't even know you. How silly is that? Frank was funny , how he rolls around on his back.❤❤
