Prayers for Frank's feet to heal and stay healed

I just started watching this video so I might post other comments to it as I continue watching, but I just wanted to stop and let you know how cute your bangs are, the new hair color looks good, too. It’s great to treat yourself every once in a while, and you did good, Amanda!

one time my big dog almost died too,, at 1 year old he ate some birdseed poop or it was a bad roundworm infection presenting as parvo,, well vets are not cheap so he got a mouthful of odourless garlic gelcaps that saved his life. he had lost half his body weight and crawled under the house preparing to die.. i did take him in to see the vet after the garlic and vet agreed it saved his life and gave anti nauseas meds. joe made a full recovery and is now 12 and going strong between the garlic for parasite removal and the glucosamine chondriton for his hip. he jumps and runs like a pup often driving me crazy still!!

Awe, Amanda, I'm so sorry Frank is still having paw issues. I see the tears in your eyes. Don't worry, he is a happy doggy!

I saw your thumbnail and said “WOW”, you got bangs! I have bangs too! You look great in bangs. I’m a low maintenance person and I don’t do anything with my long hair and bangs other than wash, air dry, and brush. Sometimes I put it up but nothing fancy. Also, I trim my own bangs. So easy to do and if you decide to keep your bangs you’ll need to trim them occasionally too. ❤

So sorry Amanda about Frank. It’s so hard watching our babies age and decline. We’re going through similar age related issues with our pup. We take joy in his happiness, push him in a cart and try to enjoy less active outdoors… but it is hard! My heart goes out to you. Sending hugs and prayers for some peaceful times ahead.

You look great with bangs, Amanda. I had them all of my life since cutting my own hair at four lol I had to get rid of them after 40+ years to do vanlife. They were way too unruly without a blow dryer 😅 I also stockpiled my favourite shoes years ago when they were on sale. Five pairs lasted over 25 years. I'm on the last leg of my last pair. I also have bought the same sandals all of my adult life. Great to see Frank enjoying life 🤗❤️🐕

I had the same fire extinguisher drama. Had one in a work vehicle behind the front seat. While we were driving the backseat passenger inadvertently stepped on it and set it off. We had to bail out at a red light. Took a good while to clean it up. 😊

I know you hate unsolicited health advice, so sorry, but I love Frank and am super impressed with how much you have made possible for him with his foot care. So here goes: might want to check with the vet first, but aloe is quite amazing for healing wounds. If you could keep a plant alive in your van through the summer season, just a bit along the edges of the wound when you do the re-wrap to stick it together. I feel like Frank gets a lot of collagen with the kinds of treats you give him, but that is another good one to provide the proteins needed to create scar tissue.

So sorry to hear about Frank, hopefully it’s getting better in real time. Hang in there, love you both! 💜💚💜💚💜💚

Hey Amanda glad Frank is doing well. So many things you shared on the video. It was quite entertaining.. I thought I would share my tip for bangs. You can use dry shampoo using equal parts corn starch or potato starch and cocoa powder (cocoa powdered for brunette hair). Mix is in a shallow wide mouth container. I have seen a gal use a large makeup brush to apply it to her hair. It works great and it’s a pleasant cocoa smell. I let it sit for five min then I use a fine bristle brush and brush it out. Some people leave it in. I’m sure you will find what works for you.

You're an inspiration for keeping steadfast and hopful caring for an older dog. Its when they need us the most. It's definitey unrelenting and has its rewards too. Also, wow those are great shoes!

That was such a lovely camp spot by the river! Definitely a place to savour for a few days. Glad to hear that Frank's foot is healing well despite appearances! And so glad it wasn't your bear spray that discharged into the van!! That would have been beyond miserable. You're absolutely right about repairs being cheaper than rent - if we lived in our vehicle (which wouldn't remotely be fun, but let's say we did) even a few thousand dollars in maintenance and repairs each year would be so much cheaper than our rent.

I just wanted to tell you that any time Frank is on the screen I am talking to him, telling him how cute and good he is. 😊 I ADORE old dogs, my last one made it to 13 and a few months (just lost him in Dec), and the one before him lived to 16. Both lab mixes.

Bang trim trick: pull the center lock between two fingers until the fingers nestle in the bridge of your nose. Trim that lock. It will spring back to a nice length around the eyebrows. Now match the rest to that one. There are some great youtube tuts on cutting your own long hair too.

Change is always fun. I like to change my hair now and again, as I feel like it won’t require much suffering. It will grow back, I tell myself. That gives me a chance to live bravely. 😅😂😁

I really love your channel and was a Patron for a short spell until we took in a young man at risk and have been supporting him as he continues to improve… 6 months clean and sober!! Just got his job back!!! I have two “kids “ in their early 40’s living abroad…one in S Korea and one in Sydney AU - 2 grandchildren there as well and I guess I think of you in a maternal way… yet have learned so much from your videos- you are a natural teacher. Thank you for your gorgeous videos / being in Ontario I just LOVE the west coast and don’t get to visit as often as I would like with my hubby. We lost our lab cross Rocky a couple of years ago and really appreciate seeing Frank, his incredible zest for life and your warm love that surrounds him. Thank you for all that you do. ❤️

Wow Amanda, your new hair style makes you look so much younger, it's lovely. I have bangs also, I love the versatility of bangs, sometimes I part it and send it mostly to one side or the other, other times I send them back or wear them forward. When I tire of bangs, I leave them grow out and twist and clip them into place for another brand new hairdo. The great thing about hair is that it continues to grow and should you try something new and don't like it or like me get bored with it, you can just let it grow out. I've use a fire extinguisher in my downstair's wood stove once, what a mess! It went EVERYWHERE throughout the house, it's worse than sanding gyprock so I feel for you Amanda. I hope Frank heals up soon.

Hot epsom salts and tea tree oil soaks have done miracles for my dog when she gets inflamed boils on her toes. It soothes the skin and heals it faster and kills infection and the heat helps dull the pain. My vet came up with it. I hope it helps.
