Cleveland Live Music is my taping life. I started recording concerts in 1978 on cassette, followed by DAT, minidisc, and now digital recorders. Video taping began with my father's machines in the mid 1970's, but it accelerated when I bought a deck in 1983. Business travel and many machines resulted in many tapes for trading television recordings. In March 1988, I bought my first camcorder and videoed Leo Kottke on 3/4/88 and Frank Zappa the next night! KABOOM! I have recorded over 3000 live performances in my career. This is where I share them. Thanks for all the support and for making the channel grow! To contact or support Cleveland Live Music. wow, I do not know what to say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is interesting - I can't find the lyrics to Jim Miller's "Media Madness" though there is one by Promises Unsaid (with similar sentiments). I'm part of the minority who have never seen General Hospital, but agree wholeheartedly with your comments.
Soap operas are awful!
@@ClevelandLiveMusic NEVER watch them, waste of time
Oroboros - making a sunny spring day sunnier still!🌞
Best line I ever heard Joe say in an Interview”Hey, Joe, what was your favourite drug of choice?” Joe “whatever you had”. . “and when you ran out, I left”. Ha ha, god bless him for his getting sober and continuing to be one the greatest guitarists ever.
‘A moment to reflect upon the roots of a musical renaissance. Fabulous. 🙏🏻
Nice song, relaxing to listen to. Tiddle the Fiddle instructions did, alas, not help me to achieve Niccolo Paganini, Yehudi Menuhin or Anne-Sophie Mutter standard. Still stuck at the handling stage 🙄🤭 oops, dropped the rosin
Haha..stay tuned..the next film strip will help!
That show was so great. Bob Costas was a gifted interviewer in those years. Loved the Bob Dylan part of this episode. Come on Bob, wear the right hat.
Costas is my favorite interviewer..so smart..also knew when to be quiet
❤
Best R&B album of the 80s!
He turned that dry cleaning bit into an episode!!!
Bitchin" !
A perfect example of trial by media !!!!
Have a good night/ day my friend
You too. See ya in the morning
Dude. Your effects are spooky.
Sometimes
10:09 - “When you see someone like … Eddie Murphy ….” Dang! Little did Costas know that, 17 years later, Murphy would be Arkin’s main competitor when he finally earned his Oscar for a brilliant comedic performance (Little Miss Sunshine).
I love Sean Young ❤
The Byrds owe so, so, so much to Dylan.....
Hello! I wanted to ask, did you record The Tonight Show with Jay Leno from March 29, 2007? Little Richard also took part there. And in general, did you record programs with Richard, besides those that are on the channel?
I have thousands of videotape I recorded that have not been digitized. I bet I did record that broadcast. As far as locating specific recordings prior to digitization. Near impossible. I would have recorded any Little Richard I was aware of being shown.
@@ClevelandLiveMusic I hope someday you will publish these recordings :)
Judging by the text of this song, he's led a turbulent life
Addiction
An engaging man
Ah, at least the lyrics aren't shrouded in mystery, straightforward boy lost girl to other boy etc. I forgot more than you'll ever know - with the accompanying film that gives cause to ponder about all the school learning we have to cram in, only to promptly forget about again. Such as calculating cube roots mentally - not that there is pressing need for it in my life
I loved those tests. In fact, when the school district was evaluating which test to use, I was taken out of class for several days and took a different test each day. Like a game show.! Trivial Pursuit-ish
@@ClevelandLiveMusic Hmmm - now let me see. Ken Dixon, oh yes, that boy with the strange addiction to tests. Teachers strongly suspect a case of OCD 😊😊😊 (I love Trivial Pursuit. And Balderdash, imagination can run riot!)
Best TV show ever, Loved it
Dylan is such a thoughtful human being. I hope he lives to be at least 100. I can't imagine this world without him.
An analytical approach to songs is very likely not the normal or accepted one, yet I invariably try to find out what the artist is talking about, before I listen to the combination of sound and words. Bob Dylan crams more words into his songs than most, yet I find them often obscure, none more so than this song. Written during his "Christian Period" (a passing phase, like Picasso's Blue and Pink periods). Apparently Dylan called it his "most perfect song" defining him spiritually, musically, romantically and describing where his sympathies were. The shot if love he needs does not seem to be concerned with physical love but more likely kindness, understanding and empathy to smother his fears. Rejecting Veronica and Mavis, he feels the threat of the man who hates him. Still confused ......
"Still confused" is the buzz Dylan heads chase...what does the song mean????
She's from Chicago, he's from Milwaukee, they both understand one another's Midwestern sarcasm and sense of humor. lol (commenting from Chicago)
Isn't it funny that when hot women come on as guests when the interviewer is black they wear the longest dress possible to show no visible crossed legs? Why the wardrobe caution, Arsenio is very respectful to his many female guests?? - While on the Craig Ferguson show, the women guests wear a belt for a dress as he stares down along it smiling leeringly - and they notice and love it? - Funny that is it? By the way, - I love Janine Turner so no slight on her. A super beautiful actress with sparking energy. A huge crush of mine in the early 1990's. - I'm sure her PR agent said for her to wear a very long dress if appearing on Hall's show. But why? Racism. - It's unfortunately never far behind in thought. - Hmmm...
Why, then are her boobs hanging out. ...sorry you are grasping here.
esta rolita es un himno bellísima melodía !
We used to listen to music like this when we were sane.
I'm a lifelong Clevelander and I recognize almost everyone in this video, however there are many I don't recall at all. Some who I know the face, don't remember the name and then countless ones that should be in this and aren't such as Nev Chandler, Dorothy Fuldheim, Jennie Crimm, Waylon Boot, Dave Patterson, Doug Adair, Jim Finnerty, Cathy Brugette, Del Donahue, Matt Underwood, Liz Clamon, Rebecca Shaw, Al Roker, Gary Coleman, Liz Richards, Joel Rose, Connie Dieken, Joe Tait, Joe Mosbrook, John Lannigan, Jim Mueller and again, countless others who I remember their face and don't remember their name.
These.images were simply the ones I had screenshotted while editing videos. Not meant to be comprehensive. There is an older version of this with Dorothy etc
Dear God ~ thank you for Bob Dylan
By watching this I am reminded that once upon a time there seemed to be integrity in the broadcast news industry, in its manner of coverage, as well as in its endless cast of players…
News has gotten so bad. My latest beef is Kiera on WKYC. Her stock "question" is "talk to me about....". Such a lazy journalistic era.
I don’t know how, but it makes him love you more!
Cuckoo
Emotional!
She sings with the voice of an angel. I've said it before, and I will say it again and again.
I wonder if everything on the live broadcast on this 37 minute version is on this video with only most of the music deleted
Yes...complete except for the music
Is blind boy grunt a real album bob dylan release and is a jazz album?
I don’t think knopfler sounds like bob Dylan at all
Fun to listen to
I agree...I never heard his music until yesterday. Jim's name has been front of my face for decades. Will be listening to more. Hope people click on his page
"Who are you?" "That's a good question." Perfect Dylan line
Keep up the great work!
That part at the end where Charlie is saying theres not a whole lot of things you cant do, but you cant destroy a man's infinite soul.
She is just an awesome singer . I love to listen to her singing.
What a fun idea about the film. Thanks so much for the fun k.d. live audio too. That was both a treat.
So glad it worked decently. Setting audio recordings to silent films has been a fun to share my recordings on a different level
Lol. This was/is awesome.
Oh , " I used to think its better if you just live and die and nobody knows who you are"" How profound🎉🎉🎉
Snyder was a giant. Howard picked a fight with the big man and realized he wasn't ready
I think Dylan was trying to stay one step beyond everyone with the hat thing. He was stealing them.. (Per Rita Coollage)
A role model Lesbian. None of this modern 'cut my boobs off and call myself a man' nonsense.
Excellent
