    Please see , Google , .41 BARKS AGAIN article of an actual recent shooting by a police detective with a .41 that saved his life and killed the criminal. Close range the .41 is deadly when loaded to original specs .

    This is by far the most educational channel i warch. I loved the story of the Schofield! So much so that i wanted to share it. And couldnt think of a single friend that loves history, guns , horses or the old west as much as i do.

    To be clear sir i do reload a little. and i guess what i want to know if i can reload 357 magnun or 38 special cut the brass down and put say a wadcutter with a hollow base (for expansion) and shoot it out of my 1913 38 special 1873 sa, 1951 navy,1961,navy, and my 1942 victory brit lend lease. I want ONE BULLET I CAN get away with in ALL 4 revolvers but am scared to use modern smokeless powder in the old navies? ( they are originals)But i do have trail boss cheerio looking powder for cowboy action shooting. could i make such a round? Or am i way out of line? Can u think of a combo that could work again accurazy is not super important a bang and a smile safely done is. Thank you sir!!!!

    So I could theoretically use 38 smith and wesson on my 1851 AND 1861 navy that were converted by the US navy. From percussion to cartridge guns. I did put the cartridge 38 s&w into them and fit and spun the cylinder and fit great. The only thing is it might be a little small bullet diameter wise since those old guns were 375 is this corret?

    yes, the bullets will be undersized

  • @msgt1942
    @msgt194210 сағат бұрын

    @duelist1954 would their be any issues in them being slightly undersized I just want to go bang essentially and own a 1942 victory and rather use one bullet for all three military pistols my 1851 1861 and 1942 victory lend lease which uses 38 s&w. I just want guns to go bang safely. My navies ARE originals accurazy is not important safety is

    I am fine with the ruger being its own gun. nobody HAS to make another copy of a ancient gun. I have to say that I am extremely impressed at how many shots you fired without doing anything to it. I have heard of a Whitney revolver, but I have never gone looking to see one. I took my Smith and Wesson model 629, made up 20 rounds with black powder. and shot them thru it to see if this was something that I really wanted to invest in. I took my Smith and Wesson model 629, made up 20 rounds with black powder. and shot them thru it to see if this was something that I really wanted to invest in. the day started out badly, and got worse from there. I fell out in the woods, and injured my self. thankfully not as bad as your injuries. but I am going to have to take it easy for a couple of weeks. the smith started to bind up after 14 rounds. i put a couple of drops of dish soap and water on the center pin twice and it made it through the rest of the shells. when we got home, i could barely walk. I had to have my daughters boyfriend bring the guns in the next day there wasn't any rust. but it was the most painful gun cleaning sessions I have ever done. this trip will have to be repeated. because by the time we got sey up to shoot. i was already stiffening up. funny thing is i never thought a day in the woods shooting would ever turn out bad.

    I simply refuse the 1 gun rule, i love my revolers but simply couldn't go with a 6 shooter. Mine would be fnx45 modified to handle Rowlands and the ability to still run 45 acp, oh wait i already built that gun 😂

    They have amended the wording. To include explosive device. Rifled barrel. So if you are under federal jurisdiction. No gun for you. But that new co2 pistol for self defense is a thought. All an antique does is eliminate the ffl from the equation. And still not many will by pass an ffl even then.

    Another nonviolent, combat veteran felon here. While I do not give one single damn about what the government thinks, I do not intend on returning to federal prison. So I thank you for this. However, I cannot own the ammo, federally. And I live in AZ, there was no local or state law enforcement present for my arrest; it was all feds. AZ doesn't mind me owning firearms. There is no path for federal relief, and that's a real travesty. I believe I earned the right to defend myself when I defended the country in multiple wars, in multiple theaters, but the feds ain't asking for my opinion!

    Still got mine from 20 years' ago. Have everything to make it fire but only cosplaying it. Can't believe how much they want now for the gun and mine is pewter finished solid with engravings. Didn't think much about it at the time and never took it to the range. The rage now is nonfiring flintlock with red ugly cap to define it as a prop gun. Insane prices for those too. It's gonna be harder and harder to own a real gun in the future if this keeps up.. It's a sad time to be living in America unless things change.
