Angela Sim is an Australia based researcher of Asian heritage and culture. She uses her platform as a media content creator to explore areas such as folk religion, peranakan culture, sunset industries including Chinese woodblock printing, effigy restoration, lantern making to name a few.
As a frequent traveller to Singapore, she has past and upcoming collaborations with local organisations, authors and individuals who lead these fields.
Angela is a Singapore native and promotes the nation as a cultural destination. Singapore presents visitors with a complex offering of history told through craftsmanship, arts, spirituality, architecture and ethnic traditions. Whilst some trades and traditions are at risk of losing relavance, a vanguard has emerged from today's generation of Singaporeans seeking to deploy the best of a multi layered history into the fields of design, architecture, gastronomy and arts. Angela looks to celebrate these individuals for heritage preservation and legacy.

That’s my kind of Taiwan. Thank you for a great 『飛虎將軍』video conveying to an English-speaking international audience the Taiwanese heart. True natives of Taiwan will always fondly remember that their forefathers had once been Sons and Daughters of the Empire of the Sun. A detail reminds us that before becoming Taiwan’s Guardian Gods worthy of worship, they were also simple young mortals. They used to syphon alcohol off the compass casing in their planes’ cockpits, mixing it with canned pineapple syrup to brew cocktails. It was all hush-hush. Higher-ups never investigated how the alcohol evaporated and maintenance crews had to top off the fluid in the compass casings now and then. This I learnt directly from a former Tokkotai (特攻隊) pilot who had been stationed on Taiwan. The war ended before he was called to perform the ultimate sacrifice. In the past, some temples in Borneo actually had tangki for Zhang Tianshi (Like in Indonesia and Sarawak). Though most of these temples are either gone, don't have tangkis anymore or they're very hidden One of these temples is Guang Loong temple, it was established by a tangki from Indonesia who was surnamed Zhuang but they don't trance anymore (the actual history of this temple is unknown, this is just oral tradition). There's also a temple in Batu Payung I'm pretty sure

There are actually different Tua Di Ya Peks for each place I'm pretty sure (unless you consecrate them to specifically be Xie Bi An and Fan Wu Jiu) and they have different surnames like 蔡 or 陈, i would basically imagine it as a company and Xie Fan Jiang Jun (谢范将军) are the managers
