I have been most honoured to be able to speak to this esteemed father (Master Ting Wan Kee) & son (Min Long) team of 星洲龍獅體育會 Singapore Dragon & Lion Athletic Association. Dragon dance is a tight knit family affair which involved three generations of his family in one way or another.
Master Ting and his son gave us an insight into why yellow and red dragons can't be used for performance? What do black and white dragons symbolises and the birth of a uniquely Singapore fluorescent dragon.
Master Ting also told us that the performance routine storylines are all evoked from their imagination.
The journey of the luminous, fluorescent dragon is still uniquely Singapore.
