Hey Ya'll, welcome to our little hobby farm. I'm thrilled you're here! I hope you'll find a comfy chair, a cup of something hot and wonderful, and spend sometime with us.
As a horticulturist, teaching and sharing this amazing world of growing your food, utilizing your harvest, and homesteading with our family, is a passion. Every week you'll find us in the garden, working on another aspect of homesteading life, and occasionally just enjoying the wildness of raising a large family in the country. Welcome to the garden, to the kitchen, and to our small farm in South Carolina.
Faith is like a seed; plant it in your heart. God gives the harvest at the appointed time. (Mark 4:26-27,28-29)

I want to say the solids you're straining out looks very much like apple butter. As long as it doesn't have the seeds, that can totally be jarred up (refrigerated or processed in a water bath canner I think) and used as a spread on toast or in baked goodies (like turnovers or fruit bars).
hope your arms are ok. Hubby always says I have fireproof hands and arms with how many times I accidentally grab/touch something hot in the kitchen and just keep going. This looks like a awsome idea! I'm gonna try it and use it to top cinnamon butter pancakes.
OMG bestie, (🤣) I do this with my peaches, I don't love apples, but I do have a peach tree and love making this. Also, I just got two more peach trees and two cherry trees. Think how amazing this would be with cherries. YUM! Love it and as always, you're looking absolutely fabulous! BTW I'm wondering if the poo thing is universal😝, my house had tropical breeze in the bathroom, and it will give me an instant headache now as an adult. Bathroom Scent Traumas. Bwahaha. Lmao. Hope your day is great!!!
🇧🇷❤❤
Hi Natasha this video has me wondering did you remove the apple seeds ? Because boiling them releases cyanide . Just a safety tip that most fruit tree seeds contain it and shouldn't be boiled or eaten. I know how you like research .
Omg the poo and cherry blossom smell!
Thanks! I’m gonna start saving my apple scraps! Could you give me some ideas or recipes that you use the apple syrup for please? 🤩🤩
That’s so crazy how you mentioned you can’t unsmell poop with cherry blossoms. 😂😂😂 I can’t unsmell poop with coffee. Years ago we had a tiny apartment and he would start the coffee maker and go do his business. 🤢 I’m ruined lol
I love how you don’t waste anything! Who taught you all these things? I grew up on a farm but there are so many things that I’m learning from you at 55yrs old.
This is a great comment! 💚 Most things come from trial and error or random ideas (wondering if things would work out) lol. Occasionally I'll have a friend send me a video and it sparks inspiration!
My Father grew these. It is not as watery as the traditional zuchini. My favorite zuchini is the yellow zuchini.
Yellow is really great as well!
That's so cool
They taste fantastic!
❤❤❤

Great video. Where do you get your Lufa seeds. I got some this Spring and they had germination problems
I originally got the seeds from Baker Creek years ago and since then have just been saving seeds from the loofahs we have grown. If you soak the seeds for 24 hours it can help germination too. 😊
Hi! Would you be able to do a video on the hot sauce you make? And which peppers you use for what? I’m about two hours from you in SC, and love having someone in my same zone!
Absolutely! ❤️🫶
Yes, they are Natasha, the orange and yellow really stand out. A wonderful centerpiece.

I’m def doing this! I’ve looked everywhere and I can’t find your pesto recipe 😭
I'll do another video on it soon. I think its inside of another video but can't for the life of me remember which one 💚
I'm jealous 😫 😪 i would love to taste that watermelon it looks so good.
We opened an orange one yesterday, literally, the best watermelon I've ever eaten!
I've never had yellow watermelon, it looks delicious.
It was fantastic!
Looks delicious! Love yellow flesh melons!😀
Me too!!
I have never seen a yellow watermelon. Thank you so much for sharing. God bless you 💗🤗
The watermelon looked absolutely delicious! Question: Which pepper varieties do dry and make seasoning with? Thank you for sharing your garden and time with us.
I'm going to cover this in the next question and answer video! 💚
As usual, I love it and you look so beautiful. Within minutes I'm sweating in the garden and looking crazy as #@$%. Bwahahaha
You're the best! 😂
Hi Natasha, love your videos! I have a question- you keep referring to those cherry tomatoes as Brads Crazy Cherry, isn't that Barry's Crazy Cherry and the other is Brad's Atomic grape? I might be wrong!
Yes they are! Sorry if I jumbled those. Definitely Brad’s atomic grape and Barry’s Crazy Cherry😊
@@ShepherdingPeppersFarm i recently found your channel and I absolutely love it.
Love the way you insert pics of plants and pests when you talk of them. Helps us newer gardeners identify them for ourselves. Thank you!!
Glad you like them!
What can I use for leaf miners? This yr my garden is infested with them.
You can try neem oil
Hard to believe its already almost July Time flies!
I know, time flies😊
How do you keep that squash flour from caking on you?
I have never had a problem with caking. I would suggest just making sure it is completely dry before grinding it into flour.
Goodness gracious
Great balls of fire? 😂
It's amazing how your garden is always Losh and produced.a lot foods every time I watch a video.I'm amazed beautiful love your guard.❤
Thank you! 😊
Hey Natasha long time watcher here from atl
I'm so glad your here! 😊
Hi Natasha 👋 What a great harvest for a garden tour video . I was thinking of something I have seen that would make your insect elimination a little less satisfying than crushing them but the children will like this. Seth could gear this up in a minute . It only takes a hand held vacuum and a piece of plastic hose . Just tape the hose over the inlet of the hand held vacuum and you are in business. Now the only thing I would do a little different would be add a nozzle with a few holes around the sides just so it doesn't damage any delicate leaves if it's a powerful vacuum. As always God bless and happy gardening everyone.
Wonderful suggestion Darren! 💚
This is my first year growing tomatillos (green and purple) what do you like to do with them? Some are starting to come off and I need some inspiration 😊
I grow them and make salsa and can it. It's so convenient to just pull a jar off the shelf. You can make a few different salsa recipes or make hot and mild.
I absolutely love the Herdez guacamole salsa, it's so so good! So we mostly use them to make a copycat version of that or salsa verse for green chicken enchiladas 💚
🥰🥰🥰the yellow watermelon 🍉👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼good job 🎉🎉🎉
😊
Yes! Saturday morning with Natasha and coffee! My favorite ❤
I absolutely LOVE this comment!! 🫶
Sounds like my Saturday morning haha, nothing better ❤

Thank you 😊
This is my favorite
Right? Its so good!
I love my honey and garlic 😋 I'm interested in the flavor of this 🤔
It's so good!
Thanks for sharing...I never thought of making squash flour...great way to hide it in making a pizza dough 😋I'm looking forward to the squash videos 😊
My pleasure 😊
Doubt that works like actual flower
Better as flour than flower 😂
Yaaassss. I make this to. Lol
😊 love it
💚💚💝💝🤍🤍
😊
Thanks for the video.
You are welcome 🤗
Love you guys. I could hear and understand this one, maybe I’m getting better.❤️✝️🕊🙏🏼
Wonderful!
Great for gluten free.. I've used leftover cooked squash in dough recipes ( in place of water) and it works out great. Wouldn't know it's in there. For this squash flour, can I use any squash? ( I'm assuming I can).
Very true, and it does very well without compromising flavor. We enjoy it and I would imagine just about any squash works. Just tinker with them 😊
I have been keeping garlic honey for a couple years now for sore throats and stuffy noses and sometimes I just use the honey in my tea. Thank you for this video!
Absolutely, it has many benefits and tastes pretty good too 😊
@@ShepherdingPeppersFarm do you ever make ginger root honey? I sometimes will use that in my tea as well. 🥰
I haven't but I love that idea. I really enjoy ginger in my tea
What do you make with this?
Snake gourd!
👍
Now that is a beautiful sight!
Yes it is
Great tip
Glad you liked it 😊
How is this "from scratch" 🤔
🤔
Happy birthday sweet girl 🎉🌼🌻
Thank you!!
