  Native backwards compatibility isn't possible on the PS5, it doesn't have the PS3's Cell CPU, PS2's Emotion Engine and the PS1's LSI R3000. It will likely just be emulation and ports. Most likely Sony will just port PS Now games over to the store, develop their in-house emulator a bit more and call it a day. The best option today is PC and Mobile. Just run emulators on them, Anbernic has turned this into a business. Native Backwards Compatibility would be a dream true, but unlikely to see happen.

  if sony made a fully backwards compatible console that had every home console (and maybe a digital store for the handheld titles) it would 100% be the best of the playstations it sucks not being able to play multiple generations on 1 system without some form of homebrew, modding or emulating

  It is possible, PS1 is Risc Based which is open source, no licensing required, the PS2 has an in-house CPU Emotion Engine made by Sony themselves and Toshiba, the Cell CPU on the PS3 was made by Sony, Toshiba and IBM so they may have to get in talks with IBM to remake that CPU, The PSP CPU is similar to the PS1 it's a Risc based Mips CPU and lastly the Vita is Arm based Arm Cortex A9 they can replicate those two chips into there next handheld. Sony could remake all these CPU's if they tried. Combine them into 1 APU like chip, get it to work with the AMD APU for Graphics or use, some type of custom chip to replicate the graphics like an Asic or an FPGA chip to Render games at higher resolutions and perhaps even higher framerates. Problem is, what would the cost be for all this? Will Sony even bother? When they can just remaster and remake games, port old games over digitally to sell at a full price. The great thing about native backwards compatibility is Sony can port hundreds of games over to their store. But they still likely aren't going to care. PC is the way forward for new hardware and games, it does everything these consoles do plus more like emulation, and keep your old systems when you want to pull out your old games. If Sony managed to pull off something this spectacular, it would easily be the best console ever made, I would buy it day 1.

  while hear on pc land we are 80% perfecting emulation on ps3 VIA RCPS3 . monster hunter 3 tri on wii was my first then monster hunter 4 ultimate on 3ds then generation on the 3ds and then world was next one i played i also dab in the handheld psp ones . then i played rise i enoy world more and i miss 3 . sony had the technology too play we can play ps2 games fine on ps4 no issues sony made issuse . this is why i am a pc gamer we can emulate on ps1 ps2 ps3 and psp and ps vita games .also i do like having haptic feed bad on the controller on the pc you can only use while your wired though .i own all platforms though i own pa ps1 ps2 ps3 and ps4 slim and ps5 and switch and xbox 360 and xbox one and now series x i was stuck on the xbox one since 2015 .but i prefer pc gaming . i also do lets plays bro check me out . i no longer do rant videos like this they are the same thing both use the same apu aka cpu chip that is a gpu and cpu mixed in they both use ryzen not intel like ponies say they do .i am a varaity gamer bro i dont care where you play i am friends with all people i used too be a ps fan buy i stop and i am pc guy since 2017 i build my pc i build like 3 computers . i just had too build two pc for a dual pc setup i just save enough too upgrade my first pc from 2017 for like 660 dollars for my first one my second pc cost me like 890 it can outperform my ps5 and series x i game on all playforms i dont want too miss out as a lets player you should understand for my channel . i game on allplatforms i been own all since i was a kid during n64 days

  It wont. There is a chip that decrypts discs, it will only work if Sony planned it from launch. But I bet that will be a feature for the next ps5 models.

  There's a good reason why they have never made an official PS3 "emulator" for current gen until now, as PS3 had an extremely odd custom cpu architecture, and even to this day emulating PS3 on PC needs a lot of hardware overhead to run decently, it's not as simple as "oh it's Sony, they should be able to just flawlessly emulate PS3 on PS5" as PS5 is still at best comparable to a midrange pc, so if they're actually bringing out emulation for current gen, it's very likely they've been working on this since the release of PS5, while on the other hand, Microsoft had spent tons of resources and years into making compatibility packs for OG Xbox and 360 games for the Xbox one. It's not as simple as you think. it's easy to criticise when you don't know how emulation works.

  @@TechOrionater enough to understand that it's not easy to achieve, specially emulation on a console. I also think that what he mentioned about PS4 emulated on XBOX is fake, as there's not even an emulator on pc that can run triple A titles like GOW, the only one available is on very early development and can only run a couple simple indies, so he probably saw someone play it on xbox one with geforce now and just thought it's emulation on xbox.

  @@graffittitagger65 There is a big excuse, PS3 used the CELL architecture, its very hard to emulate it, even on PC for the best perfomance you need a cpu that supports AVX-512, on ps4 it was impossible to do it, and I bet even on PS5 there will be games that emulator will not play. Also I think the PS3 emulation will only come to PS5 PRO hardware, PS3 disk will not be playable on older models of PS5, you need a chip that decrypts the discs. Xbox was made on x86 from the beginning, except the Xbox 360 that was made on PowerPC, and even that its MUCH MUCH easier to emulate. Every developer talked about how hard it is to make games for PS3.

  EU was never canon. Not even before 2012. EU were filler stories that George would have retconed whenever he feels he had a different ideas to put in film. The Clone Wars show retconed a lot of suff from EU. Anyway, you are a gatekeeper. Star Wars message was always about accepting someone's else differences. Also isn't Dave Filoni, the guy who made the Clone Wars show and was also Lucas' apprentice, approves everything before productions. Wouldn't that mean Lucas would have approved most of Disney stuff too?

  Firstly the acolyte Before it even started They said r2d2 is lesbian in the interviews and have said this is the gayest Star Wars ever and that the director is using this to tell her own gay outcoming story. They also stated that the fans are the issue and that this is no longer for the male audience and if we have an issue we are homophobic bigots and racist. It immediately turned the fan base against them don't get me wrong it isn't a perfect fan base but failing 3 major films, Ashoka not understanding how the force works and making Sabine force sensitive after huyang saying she was inferior to a youngling to suddenly throwing Ezra across a gap to a star destroyer. Keep in mind luke trained with yoda for a month before fighting Vader. Then kenobi destroying cannon multiple times, Mando 3 flopping, andor being misunderstood plus bringing back Rey and making bad batch once again destroy cannon it now takes nothing for everyone to be done with Disney Star Wars. Then the show started not a white man in sight because we are evil and then a lesbian witch tribe destroying cannon as people like plagius, sideous Darth nilius and Darth Andeddu couldn't manage to create life through the force but they can cause well they're woman. Plus due to it being the high republic and golden era of the Jedi they literally see no conflict for the entirety of that period they’re literally peace keepers but then they have a sith just running about. Also said they wanted to make white men cry. Imagine a white actor said that about black people they would be sacked. They even banned George Lucas from the set as they didn't want his bias around. If they had him around they wouldn’t of destroyed cannon making Ki-Adi-Mundi being born 40 years before his time and they changed the wookiepedia as the show was live as they realised they screwed up. This isn’t Star Wars !

Multiple times Lucas has said that Disney strayed away, FAR AWAY from his vision of starwars, so these Disney starwars fans are honestly again probably one of if not the BIGGEST issue with the fanbase.   You ever heard of Candlemass? They're still performing even these days and that's after some changes to the lineup here and there. They're a Swedish band and don't really release their records here in the States but in this current era, that's a non-issue. Bewitched is arguably their best song which put them on the map.
