Baton Rouge resident here. I never voted for St. George, eventhough we will be part of St. George. I have had my kids sent way out to the inner cities schools back in the 90s. Never had so many problems with my kids until they were sent to those schools. Violence escalated quickly with my oldest boy trying to protect his younger twin sisters, who are built like Dolly Parton. My son wound up being expelled from school because he accidently punched the principal when in a fight with a guy trying to force himself upon one of his sisters. I never understood why they forced my kids to be bused half way across the city, when their school should be right down road.
