It has nothing to do with our country and it shouldn't have been transferred to our country by Mexicans who have supposedly shed their citizenship for ours. I've been there in Chicago during Conco De Mayo, it was fun. But that was years ago. I won't step foot in that city again.They don't prosecute thugs anymore. If they had enough officers, and the DA actually prosecuted criminals, then it would work. The reality is, however, that the criminals know that they won't face punishment, so they don't respect the police. So no, sending the police there just to observe and be abused is not going to work.

It's a cultural event and party day here in the states. Just like the Puerto Rican parade, the Polish parade, the St Patrick's Day Parade, and Oktoberfest, to name a few. So if you take issue with cultural events, don't go to the St Pat's Parade or Oktoberfest, either,.Also, if you're not Christian, than you can work on Christmas and Easter and forgo all the Christmas events and decor while your at it.
