    You should rename your video to "Hyper-Real Concept Images with Speed and Control" - Because nothing shown here is a prototype which is a physical version. Also, As a professional IDer, I would also be careful as much of the concept furniture shown at beginning are not manufacturable at all. Ai can be a helpful tool to come up with inspiration, but its probably 5% of a long design process that still needs to happen. If you showed up for an interview with those as ideas, I would question you on manufacturability and why you went down those paths. Good luck guys-

    what kind of a designer are you if you can't come up with your own designs and have to use ai for that?

    nice workflow, and cool charging pods. I would only hope that they do have a usb cable port, so that you can plug yourself into it, and stll use the phone!

    hello, what would be the best way or prompt, or platform to obtain variations of the same object without altering the actual object? Midjourney somehow reinterpreted the original object? Like for example to create an advertisement? Thank you Commands like remix seems to change the original image way to much

    Many thanks for this video that well demonstrates how AI facilitates industrial design process. Based on my use experience, Midjourney does speed up aesthetic product image output, but meanwhile requires industrial designers’ high research abilities and engineering & technology knowledge, which decide to what extent the generated outcome can target people’s measurable real needs (other than just a assumption without enough data/evidence) and the feasibility to launch a fully working prototype even future mass production, respectively.

    🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 01:04 🧠 AI can be used to visualize and ideate creative ideas, enhancing the design process with clarity and efficiency. 02:13 🔄 AI tools can generate design outcomes with maximum control by prompting in an orderly sequence, creating consistency in form and style. 03:36 📸 Visualizing designs in various contexts with AI tools improves communication with the audience and informs better design decisions. 05:13 🎨 AI assists in creating realistic renderings, setting the mood and story of a product in minutes, enhancing design understanding. Wow, thank you both for these amazing and helpful insights. I do have a queston regarding using sketches as a reference image. Did you try uploading an original concept sketch or would this be a completely different use case? Thank you again.

    I've been looking for a workflow like this and your video really helped. I work in furniture design and find that 99% of what midjourney makes is nearly impossible to produce and your workflow addresses this perfect. Thank you!

    Why not draw some also! ..didn't you enter design school because you first liked to draw and were creative? I am an industrial designer also and always looking to the next great tool as well but understandingof manufacture and materialsalong witb form amd functionis so important! I graduated ID from the U of Cincinnati when there were only a handful of schools teaching industrial design. So much has changed and I watched the factories grow in Shenzhen with amazment from my first trip there in 1995 to present. AI is already an amazing tool but I am sad to see you not using any drawing integrated in your ideation!..especially for something as simple as a group charger. I wish you all the best as fellow designers

    I love your content. Great job! Can you do a tutorial video that goes through exactly how you get your product concept visualised in different environments without Midjourney changing the actual concept imagery? I guess it’s through reference images but I’d love to see exactly how you achieve this!?

    Awesome episode guys. I’ve been playing around a fair bit with blend prompts and find the results much better than text only prompts. Question: in the watch example were you combining two image prompts (1 the watch & 2 the dog graffiti) in combination with textual prompt? Or were you using just one image + textual prompt?

  • @bengoh2229
    @bengoh2229 Жыл бұрын

    Hi Ben Great question! I was using both the watch and illustration image as image references. They form a good foundation for AI to create a clean image. With v5 on Midjourney, the image weight that I used was the minimum (--iw 0.5), and let prompts control the CMF and type of watch. So, if I wanted different watches, such as an elegant dress watch or a rugged field watch, the output would be adjusted as such. Finer details would be up to the designer to remix and push. Hope this clarifies! -Bing Jun
