--- Q&A ---
[00:02:55] Start of Q&A session
[00:03:00] Why did the median pay of ID graduates increase sharply from this year’s GES survey?
[00:09:34] If I’m a type of student who is interested in tinkering, some parts of engineering and at the same time some parts of design, would you be able to describe what may be somethings I get to learn in DID in this realm?
[00:14:35] Pras and Carina’s experience in taking Clement’s Platform
[00:22:00] What is the approximate time that the students will be given to upload the videos for the interview round?
[00:23:35] How intimidating is the first year for students with no design experience?
[00:28:25] How the interview will be conducted and what will the process be like?
[00:30:22] Can an ID graduate go into a field of marketing or management (a non-design field)?
[00:32:40] How do we define what product design is? Since the UXUI field is growing in prominence, it seems that a product design can also be a non-physical intangible object. Why is there this shift and what’s the difference when designing for a physical product vs an intangible product?
[00:35:55] If the students are required to pick up certain hard skills such as coding or interaction design, how should they go about learning these new skills and will there be anything in place to guide the students through this process in ID?
[00:39:34] To Pras: From a student’s perspective, do you have any words of advice for anyone who might find this very daunting due to having so many hard skills to pick up in Year 1?
[00:41:32] Is there an expected GPA for Polytechnic students entering into this course?
[00:43:30] How do you spot people who have potential for the course in interviewing and viewing their portfolios?
[00:46:01] Do you know the percentage of students accepted after the interview?
[00:47:14] How does it differ if I take ID and focus on tinkering versus taking a full-on engineering course?
[00:52:33] There is this working relationship between designers, engineers and others teams. Is it true that designers always clash heads with engineers or marketing teams in the real world situation? If there is, how do you usually balance this out?
[00:56:38] What is the ratio of Polytechnic to JC students in each cohort?
[00:57:27] Wrapping up message for the Q&A session
