Definitely hyped, I was nervous after the trailer but gameplay look and feel is what I was wanting. Assuming I play a Human first playthrough I’ll probably romance Ballara or maybe Neve (hard to tell with the hat she’s wearing). I definitely have a Dwarf Harding playthrough planned. And a female Lucanis romance I reckon. Hardest choice is whether I go Warrior or Mage instead of my usual Rogue - but probably Rogue.

Varric definitely dies, its just of went and how exactly 😢 Party member trailer Lace says to him "you dont look so good" then before Varric goes to reason with Solas in prologue demo, he says "Rook take care of the team" Bianca gets destroyed (again?). Quite a few death flags. I'll be romancing the necromancer and mage killer. They all look great honestly.
I am going to play a Mourn Watch mage and absolutelt be romancing Lucanis 😍 Also desperately hoping this is not the end for Varric, my heart can't take it 🥺
I wonder how they are going to handle it if you romanced Solas. It doesn’t sound like the player character will be the same, so I wonder if we will get a resolution to the tragic romance they had

After playing Baldurs Gate 3, i miiiiiss the gameplay and tone from Dragon Age Origins... I don't care about all the action, i want some good story, romance and a world full of mysteries.

While Varric dying would be a strong emotional push our love for him means that if that ever happens it could go down as badly as (or a lot worse than) Borderlands 3.

Number 1- it’s not going to be a game but a political statement Number 2- it will more than likely kill the franchise. Number 3- it will make people DESPISE dei bs even more. Number 4- BioWare will close its doors Number 5- if you complain about any glaring negative you’ll be called a bigot. Number 6- They’ll do this to every game they can Number 7- Apparently there’s just straight up porn scenes in the game (gross)
I realize odds are low and I have no plans to hold it against the game but I’d be over the moon if they find a way to let me input even some of the major decisions I made all those years ago in the past games.
Unpopular opinion but if the "theory" about Varric is true, real Bianca would have made a good companion
Without a doubt, I'm going after Scout Lace Harding. I was so disappointed by her "romance" in Inquisition just being the occasional flirtatious line. I also hope that we get to explore more of Tevinter. Origins gave us Ferelden, 2 gave us Kirkwall, and Inquisition introduced Orlais, so I'm really hoping for more world exploration. I know that they said not to expect the sprawling maps that Inquisition had, but dang it I want exploration!

Well the gameplay certainly gives Veilguard a better presentation than the trailer. BUUUUT I am not optimistic about the gameplay.... it feels like the worst mixup of previous entries? :`/
Wish they would drop just the "The" . Dragon Age: Veilguard sounds cool.

Not only have I been wanting to properly romancing Harding, I have been waiting to kiss a dwarf. So far none of the games have had a romanceable award! So my first playthrough is planned for me
The possibility of Varric dying is the best thing I've heard about this game. That character and his idiotically designed crossbow were one of the many things about Dragon Age 2 which turned me off to the series as a whole. Which was a shame because I really enjoyed the original. Every scene with him was like nails on a chalkboard. So glad he'll be gone.
Hard disagree Wrench was one of the few really memorable characters in Watchdogs 2 I really liked him

I will definitely be playing. I want to romance Harding, but I know me; everytime I go into a DA game saying that I will romance X, something happens and I accidentally trigger a romance with someone else first.
Ok, that's all well and good, but why does she have a manila folder on her head? Is that a fashion thing that I'm too unstylish to understand? Also, where are my favorite magic ladies, Morrigan and Vivienne? P.S. I didn't finish Inquistion.

Game looks a little better after seeing the gameplay but still looks meh. Think the trailer has killed the franchise for a lot of fans, myself included. Might get it when it gets drastically discounted
Tiny correction: The Veil isn't the name of the spirit world. The spirit world is called The Fade. The Veil is the barrier that separates The Fade from the real world.
Looks like we will never get a DA like Origins again... And of this 7 MOST IMPORTANT things is nothing of interest for me, so i am out. But thanks for the warning
David Gaider is right about the trailers. First time I played Origins I immediately set it back down and almost never picked it back up again. It looked NOTHING like any of the trailers.
Oh no... they removed even more rpg elements, removed exploration altogether, reduced tactical combat, and reduced party banter potential? I don't think any fans were interested in Dragon Age: God of War!
I will almost always play a mage. Throwing fireballs at people and watching them go boom is always a good thing. F.

A large part of the current day AC fanbase is from the RPG games. Removing it entirely would probably be frowned upon by the fanbase.
I just want to be evil like in Origins, the best Dragon Age game by FAR.
