I don’t think Emma’s singing was that bad as they were making out.. I think they were picking on her because of her appearance

Some of you guys I noticed are saying that you don't know if these people are serious. Yes they are, before you even get in front of the actual judges on TV to audition, you have to go to through several other auditions in front of different judges and producers. Those people determine whether you get to be on the TV audition or not. So that means these people all got told by production "yes oh my God you're amazing" "you're definitely making it" so that way they can embarrass TF out of them for footage. These people genuinely think they're good enough and it's truly heart breaking. Yes these are fucking hilarious and I die laughing everytime but it's sad to know these people are serious. Also hate to break it to you but they already know who the winner is going to be based off of auditions! Kelly Clarkson won season 1, but they created a whole fake ass back story of her being from a small town. But did you know she was already making big before her audition? She had a record deal previously before then and had songs set up for herself. They knew she would be the winner because she was the best contestant out of everyone that season!

At least I can admit I have no talent. However, some are just unfixable.

The 2nd girl could sing. Proof that these shows are scripted and the winners are already determined from the onset.

The girl at 7:41 was actually a good singer. Shame she had a bad attitude though. And the fact that she sounded too much like Mariah and she didnt even fess up to copying/emulating her was just the nail in the coffin. Her attitude is what made it bad. Had she said "give me a chance and I will do my best to sound more like myself" maybe would got her a chance at a second audition but no she had a huge ego nobody wants to work with that.

You know I think some families wanted to embarrass their sons or daughters enough to audition for AI just for the laughs afterwards. It’s both fascinating and cruel at the same time! And the judges laughing at them is freaking hilarious. You know it’s bad when they all laugh their asses off!

The girl singing Route 66 ruined a childhood memory of mine. My grandfather would sing this to us as we were traveling on the train from Chicago to California along Route 66. This was in 1969, before Amtrak.

Everything that made this show so amazing back then is missing today. Everyone was real and had a normal way of communicating, the editing was slick, classy and not over the top, the judging was actually based on talent, no political agendas etc. Also Kate Thornton was an AWESOME host...it's a shame we don't have presenters like her on tv anymore. Life in the UK was so much better back then.

That first one wasn't too bad compared to a lot of other bad ones! If she stayed on key and didn't yell so much, it would be ok! When she is on key and not screaming, typically at the ends of the phrases, she actually sounds decent!
