Apparently the contestants must sing a song from an approved list whether they are familiar with the song or not 😮 I can believe that since Simon Cowell has to pay for the song's use

I would like to thank my friend Melanie, who in 8th grade told me I was only an ok singer. Those words, while hurtful at the time, were actually extremely helpful to me. I have been in multiple bands and been paid to sing many times, but I am not good enough for this competition. I know this because my friend was honest with me.

Why do these people think it's a good idea to try dancing in a singing competition because it's either, A: Gonna hide the fact you can't sing or B: it's gonna make your bad singing stand out like a sore thumb especially when you are also terrible at dancing

You know American Idol as always needed to pad the runtime as well as having a little comic relief. You know Goodwill anybody that is bad as some of the people that come on there are there for comedy Factor. You could say for every singer who's songs are getting butchered by these people, especially when people are trying to impersonate them like for example one season had terrible auditionees try and falling at impersonating Elvis when performing his songs

How do these people not realize that they can't sing AT ALL??
