The first one could clearly sing, but why she put together an arrangement like that I have no idea. What was the point in even auditioning? Her attitude stank. Obviously the X factor isn't looking for someone who screams metal songs. They're looking for a pop singer! They don't even have a clue who Bullet For My Valentine are.

All she needs to do is close her mouth a little more. As harsh as it was, Simon was right. He should have been more constructive with his criticism

The last girl was really nice, until she went all angry and threw the mic. That was a big surprise to me because she was all happy and cheerful.

your mouth is far far too big when you sing. It was looking like a cave....................wtf that is so rude. Well she is different and definitely have some singing quality.

I kind of feel bad about Holly. She picked up some very bad habits that make her worse than she is. I think if she took voice lessons and "relearned" how to sing, she might not be that bad. Probably not Idol or XFactor winner material, but better than she is now.

What's up with this video?! It was all regular until 8:51 at which point it turned into an epileptic seizure inducing montage of quick-cycling audio clips and video cut-ins at least through 12:47. Seriously, I had to stop it there because it was making me as mental as the contestants, quite literally physically ill.

I bet Zoe's mom and dad are just as bad as her onstage. I heard their dog does a Lassie act too.

She claims they aren't academics, yet she's the ignorant one who knows nothing about the "business" of music. Oh and you don't make rude demands when applying for a job. You be polite.

But you make a valid point. It didn't sound good. Even though it was just to showcase tools..... it was a bad example. Yep.

I love how Rachel curses them out and after hearing Sharon talk about the cassettes she finds it very rude.

Note to whoever thought f***ing with Rachel's audition, repeating it over and over again, and stretching it into 12 minutes was funny, creative, or whatever: it wasn't. It was stupid and annoying. Just play the damn video. Ironically, theme here is people who think they're something they aren't and don't know when to quit...

I believe that even in this program should to make a pre-selection to be admitted to a TV show, not for the skill, but for mental status

@30min with Zoey Alexander, With the Pink song.... it could have very well been that "they"(during backstage, people in production, the producers) told her before the performance to actually sing a Pink song. I can't imagine someone fabricate that and say it to the public. Regardless she was not good at all.. But I still think that it is very possible they told her to sing a Pink song (I have no clue who Pink is). She was pretty annoying as Pink and the second song. She did go psycho, and thats why I think she might have been suggested to sing a Pink song. I can't imagine someone going blitz like that.

They seriously just let people in the door off the street with no screening process, right before the panel of celebrity judges? They are looking for one of them to get stabbed... I actually thought Holly was pretty good. Interesting voice to come from a woman of her build, as she said at the start, you wouldn't expect it! But certainly not terrible. And she wasn't a psycho, she had passion but she was perfectly polite - and employed! Unlike the rest who were very unstable and clearly needing therapy. Btw I don't know what you thought you were doing with the editing for contestant #3 but please don't do it again XD It was really weird and boring and seemed like KZread had broken, I ended up ff'ding to the next one.
